Sassagoula-Rvr,
Since your acquainted with the Moderates, I think you'll be fine. We enjoyed our stay at CBR. I hope this helps - here's a portion of my review on allears.net:
"We visited WDW January 20th to the 27th. We stayed in Jamaica Bldg 41 - a Nemo room. It seemed very clean and new looking. The room was a nice size and fit its purpose. ... Although we left tips, we were visited by no towel animals. We could hear others through the walls which worried me with our rambunctious boys who weren’t ready to go to sleep at 10 p.m.
It seemed from the resort map that we were very far from the bus stop and OPR, but the walk wasn’t bad. It was a jaunt, but it wasn’t that bad. We didn't get resort refillable mugs because we didn't think we'd make it worth the while.
The buses ran frequently and we never had to wait more than 10 minutes, except once since we had just missed the one we wanted. Most of the EPCOT buses seemed to enter into the resort and make only three stops and leave the resort without going all the way around CBR. It was a short trip to DHS and not too long to get to MK or EPCOT.
CBR was beautifully landscaped and maintained. The beaches were well manicured. Most of the cast members were friendly and helpful - giftshop, mousekeeping, bell services, particularly.
The food court - the hamburgers were bad but the baked chicken was good. FYI - No Dr. Pepper products. I’m not sure if our 3 yr old liked the pizza, but we bought pb&j sandwiches often for our 3 yr old."
I agree with CleveRocks.
Enjoy your visit.
