Carribean Beach Resort

We stayed at the CBR for a week in June. We booked the new Pirate Room. We all loved it. We were in the room that was far from the main pool and the food but we did not mind. I thought that the walk was great and the kids loved it.

Most of the rooms here are either being redone, or have been redone in the last year or two. The rooms furthest from Port Royale are getting the Pirates theme, and the other rooms are getting a Nemo makeover. As a resort goes, it's peaceful. Plenty of chairs and hammocks around the lake to lounge in. The food court can get hectic at times, but there is a bunch of outdoor seating you can use also.

I find that people who have their own transportation like this resort better than those who do not. The resort is very spread out.
My family had our own vehicle & we loved the resort.

my family and i stayed here in 2007 the week of halloween.. in oct. it was our first time on property.. and it was amazing.. before we booked i had heard alot of bad stuff about it, but it wasnt that it was nice. friendly. the food court was awesome.. had everything ... the grunds where beatufil. you could even kinda make out fire works from epcot.. at night.!, from across the bay!.. so i give it a thumbs up!

We have stayed at the CBR 4 times and it has always been great. No kids, so we don't get a pirate room, but we do request Trinidad North or Martinique to be closer to the food court. I make alot of trips with the refillable mugs. We will be there Sept. 17 - 24. CAN'T WAIT.

It's a great resort. Each area has their own pool which is very handy as they arn't usually that busy. Some people dislike the long walk if you are staying in one of the areas that are far away from Port Royale (The food court area), but i personally enjoyed the walk.
I'd definately reccommend staying at CAB.

It is a very beautiful resort, but too big for my family. My girls got tired real fast walking to the big pool and food. We were in Aruba across the bridge. It was also hit or miss with the buses. Sometimes we were one of the first stops (which was great) and other times one of the last and the bus was very crowded. I guess we were just spoiled last year at the French Quarter. Everything was at our fingertips and the buses were much less crowded. I highly recommend the CBR for couples with no children or older children who appreciate the beauty and don't mind walking. My 4 year old was way to impatient. They did love the pool though, after we got there. I won't stay there again until my girls are older. I hope it works out for you.
