Or Cedar Fair didn't want to pay the licensing fee for the Intimidator name anymore.

Jumping to some conclusions there but it could be both AND. I really think it’s the start of something new and we will see more of it especially after the speed up of Tianna which was an obvious counter to epic universe. Now sea world now smaller parks. Next?

I'm not sure how a roller coaster rebranding in theme parks nowhere near Florida has anything to do with Epic Universe. It was a licensing thing that expired because the coaster at Kings Dominion had it's name changed to Project 305.

Plain and simple. Contract was ending…didn’t want to pay to renew the Intimidator licensing….though a name like Intimidator should also remain generic…just remove all the racing theming.

So with fury going into cracks this paved the way for this rebranding but also we are hearing more. More reactions to epic universe
