I don't know but when I was there last October I was suprised it wasn't closed. It was a very slow week and when we rode it there was only 1 other person in the "vehichel".

Has the attraction even shut down since AE left?
I don't think so. I know it has been closed at least one day in December for some rehab work. I'm sure that wasn't the only day they needed to fix things.

That surprises me. We were there last October also and not only was it open, it was packed, both times we road it.

I heard they were thinking of closing it down.

To many people thought it was spinning too fast.

Lots of complaints.

COP is no longer considered a season attraction. It has been open every day for the last two years and it no longer has the seasonal opening label attached to it on any of the official Disney materials. It, like every other attraction at WDW, could be closed for a day or two of maintenance here and there throughout the year.

I know that currently one traveling theatre is down for some work to the seats, so they are working on it...and getting it ready to be shipped back to cali. Unfortuantely, I think that will be the truth in no more than 5 years. Matt Omuliet and his DL team want it back!

Is this true? COP is like my favorite attraction in MK. I hope its not true. I have been singing "Its a great big beautiful tomorrow" ever since I booked my trip last week. I mean like every single second of the day!

I'd boycott Tomorrowland if CoP was removed and was replaced by an Incredibles attraction.

That would indeed be the final body blow for the future of tomorrowland, Pixarland is on the horizon and approaching fast

Oy, Let's cool it. CoP is one of my favorites too, but the facts remain the space is valuable and it's becoming very outdated. I doubt any of you will pull a complete boycott on Disney because they removed 1 attraction. Besides, it will probally be something really great. And if you NEED to see it when it's gone, go to cali, I'm sure they're gonna try very hard to replace innoventions with it at DL.

That's great news to hear it will be open; it's one of the greatest Disney attractions of all-time. Personally I could sit and listen to it all day!!! (Just Kidding)

I don't want them to replace it because it's a classic. But if they have to I hope they do it with something good. If you think about it, Tomorrowland has always been changing.

If you had wings became Dreamflight which became Buzz. Sure, we were disappointed but we moved on because Buzz was good.

Mission to Mars became AE. Sure, we were disappointed we moved on because AE was good.

Magic Carpet Around the World became America The Beautiful which became Timekeeper. Timekeeper was good.

Wedway Peoplemover's Commuter Computer became the TTA grand circle tour. "The home of tomorrow" became "Fedex ships a package". "The Best Time of Your Life" became "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow". Star Jets became whatever it's called now. Grand Prix Raceway became the Tomorrowland Indy 500.

None of us are going to boycott DisneyWorld because of changes.

Tomorrowland, by it's name, has to evolve. Otherwise, it becomes Yesterday's View of What Tomorrow Should Be Land.
