Carolwood Park: A new name for MK's Storybook Circus, with a new attraction

The thing I don't like about my ride is that it just seems like it was thrown together on the fly here and there. I think it seems rather crude, especially since we have a fancy Mickey attraction coming to the Studios (and based on those newer Mickey shorts that seem to be replacing the classics) that would surely make my idea pale in comparison. @v_k said as much in post #20, and thought that an interactive element might help distinguish it.

The truth is, a ride like this really belong in a Toontown-type area. I would put it (or a ride like it) in Disneyland's Toontown, but with the rumors floating around that that could be where the aforementioned fancy Mickey ride from the Studios may go, it doesn't seem to make sense. And if that ride did get put in, I would think that the best spot for it, without compromising the land too much, is in Mickey's House. And if it didn't get put in, then that would probably be where my ride in question would go, too. But either way, it would displace a viable spot for a Mickey meet-n-greet.

That's the main reason why I'm keeping my idea for this ride in the Magic Kingdom (which no longer has a Toontown of its own), because Disneyland's Toontown would be difficult to do, not because of space per se, but because of rumors of something else in the wings at the moment.

Maybe the vehicles could be in the water for the dry-for-wet effect. That might work.

Scene 8: Whirlwind
With the Crest, Donald inadvertently creates a whirlwind that threatens to tear the room apart, as evidenced by the breakage and flying debris, while the ride vehicles also move about the room, caught up in the maelstrom. Our heroes fly around the room as well while, in a nod to "The Band Concert", in addition to the debris flying around, the William Tell Storm plays in the background, sounding like the Silly Symphony Swings:

In the maelstrom, the Crest flies towards Mickey and he grabs it. As the Sorcerer's Apprentice music plays dramatically (the part where Yen Sid returns to make the flooding disappear), the ride vehicles leave the room, returning to...

Scene 9: Cataloguing Room
Mickey and Donald are shown in the room, which is the exact same as it once was, but with the two of them putting the Crest back in its proper place. Mickey apologizes for the chaos Donald caused, and Donald feels appropriately embarrassed, but Mickey forgives him, while cautioning not to do it again. Mickey thanks the guests for coming to visit, and invites them to come back again soon. Hopefully, next time, things will not be so quite chaotic...

And that's Mickey's Magical Museum. What did everyone think? Feedback would really be nice.

The scenes sound very good and flow nicely from the previous scenes. I think you're on a good track

Here's the complete ride-through again, all in one post:

Scene 1: Cataloguing Room
Donald is sweeping up here, and he is just too tempted to touch the very visible Sorcerer's Crest (in addition to the Sorcerer's Hat, it also has on it a steamboat whistle, a reference to "Steamboat Willie") , even though that is forbidden. In a scene out of "Mickey's PhilharMagic", it comes to life when he does. It blasts magic dust onto other artifacts in the room, levitating them into the air. Donald is also lifted aloft and he becomes enraged, as he usually does, and struggles with it, inadvertently causing things to go from bad to worse. The Crest slips out of Donald's hand and flies into the next room. Mickey is heard calling Donald's name and he gets swept up in the pandemonium, too.

Scene 2: Mickey's House
A mockup of a room from Mickey's house has furniture coming to life and bouncing about, thanks to the power of the Sorcerer's Crest. Mickey and Donald can barely stay on the ground as a rug is lifted into the air.

Scene 3: Thru the Mirror
At one end of the room, you go through a giant mirror and find yourself in a giant version of the house, with you - and Mickey and Donald - now shrunk down, as giant playing cards and gloves dance to a lively tune (if you haven't guessed, it's based on "Thru the Mirror", one of the greatest Mickey shorts ever). But the unfriendly King of Hearts card menaces you with his sword. As you escape, Mickey and Donald are seen running on a giant spinning globe.

Scene 4: Crazy Cars
Escaping the chaos of the other side of the mirror, you now arrive in a car section of the museum (which is based loosely on "Mickey's Service Station"), where the Crest has brought to life two cars, one a jalopy and the other a modern roadster, which rise and lower comically on their hydraulic lifts. In one corner, tires hanging on the wall spin wildly, save for one flat, which flaps around as it spins. In another corner, license plates hanging on the wall sway back and forth. These are similar to the Roger Rabbit ride's queue with various letters and numbers jumbled to form references to all things Disney (i.e., CAP 10 HK, 101 DALMN, L MERM8, etc.). Meanwhile, Mickey is seen running on one tire, while Donald ducks (so to speak) down to avoid getting crushed in the car he's hiding in.

Scene 5: Animal Antics
Here, the Crest has brought various taxidermied animals to life and they menace our heroes - and you. These include a lion ("Jungle Rhythm"), a bear (also "Jungle Rhythm" or maybe "The Pointer") and a gorilla (either "The Gorilla Mystery" or maybe "Donald and the Gorilla").

Scene 6: Lonesome Ghosts
The room becomes dark as you enter a mockup of another house, this one more rundown. Mischievous ghosts appear, more than happy to stir up trouble for anyone who comes in, including Mickey, Donald and you. Some try to strike with planks, others by dropping piles of dishes that shatter. Donald grabs an emergency flare gun to create light (remembering that "spirits are frightfully sensitive to bright lights") and, against Mickey's protests not to go too extreme, fires! Heading out of the room, fireworks start flying everywhere.

Scene 7: Flooding
The fireworks have caught the attention of something else that the Crest has aroused, brooms carrying buckets of water. They put the fire out, but they don't stop dousing the area, until it's flooded. You see Mickey and Donald trying to stay afloat. Mickey grabs for the Crest, but Donald gets it first. I don't know how it would work, other than maybe a dry-for-wet effect.

Looks like a very nice attraction, well done.

The problem is, I think this whole attraction just looks randomly thrown together and tried to force in a story with the Sorcerer Crest.

I'm still not convinced that the Madhouse concept from the Dumbo's Circusland of old couldn't work, in some way, in Storybook Circus. If I just had a little more information to go on other than just "A funhouse-themed dark ride based on the vintage Mickey Mouse cartoons; this ride was to have featured Mickey and the gang performing antics to various ragtime music pieces.", then I might have something. That was long before Toontown, so if it could work then, it could still work now. I just wish I had more information to go on.
