Hi Everyone.

Me and my partner have booked to come on 12th November 2014, and I wanted to know from you experts what's better, the CBR or CS?

I have been to Disney on site hotels before (POP and ALL STAR) and we have booked a moderate resort as we get free dining. (which saves us a lot of money)

I like the look of them both, my partner likes the CB. but i'm torn. Isn't Coronado Springs newer?

Any tips etc would be amazing!

I recommend CSR. Besides having a great main pool area, CSR also offers many deluxe amenities at a mod price. CSR also offer business club level rooms now with lounge access.

CSR has queen beds, a sliding wooden door separating the sink area from the room but only one sink.

Amenities include a fitness center, spa, free wi-fi, tanning beds, a sauna, salon, full menu room service and a night/dance club.

The resort offers the same toiletries as the deluxes (except GF). CSR has separate shampoo and conditioner instead of the shampoo/conditioner combo at the other mods and values (a small thing, I know, but it means I don't have to pack shampoo and conditioner).

CSR has the largest hot tub of the mods and one of the longest pool slides on Disney property. The pool, slide and playground area is great and all located in one area at the main pool.

Bus service is terrific and is not shared with another resort.

Thats great !!!!! Sounds amazing.

I think my partner prefers CB because of the faux beach. whats CSR like for that sort of thing? It doesn't bother me I would just go to TL or BB for a faux beach.

I don't suppose you know anything about CB?

it was the same price for us to stay at the AOA LM (our fave disney film) and pay for the dining plan, but were gathering its the same facilities as POP and ASR. Were thinking a moderate Resort will be more comfortable.

Thank You

I am a CB fan. It has been a few years since I have been there but it gave me that real Floridian environment that I crave. I am also a big pirate fan so yes of course I would love CB resort! Maybe ten years ago I stayed at CSR and it just wasn't my favorite. It all depends on what you are looking for. If you want the fun Florida atmosphere then CB is your place. Coronado is also beautiful but a little different of a feel.

CBR was very nice. We stayed in an Aruba building which was a short walk across the bridge to the food court area and pool. The pool is beautiful! The kids pirate ship area was nice for my kids. Shutters was a pretty good table service restaurant: typical food court area w/ shopping.
We saw the high fireworks from Illuminations from the beach. We greeted turtles, fish, birds, and of course Disney ducks, lizards, and frogs every day!:D
The buses were slow, but not too terrible ( and this was August 1st- Mom was in a scooter). It's a large resort w/ a separate check-in building (I guess that's the only part I really didn't like).
Overall, we had a very nice experience there.:D

Arghhhh lol - I think I may stick with CB then - We have booked flights for November 12th. Does anyone been then before? Are the parks quiet? I went last year first 2 weeks of October and it was VERY quiet everywhere and I LOVED that!!!!!

Thanks for all your help everyone!!!!

The only thing I dislike at CBR, other than the ridiculously slow (busy or not) food court, are the cartoon rooms. It's just too much. Other than the rooms, though, I'm a big fan. It's cute and bright and pleasant and they play island music in the food court and nearby. It's the happiest mod.

CSR is also very pretty. The rooms are a little boring. I liked them much more before the re-do with the white bedspreads and boringness in general. But it's pretty and has nice water views. The food court charges a fee to eat dinner inside, which I don't care for, but it has the better gift shop. CSR also has check-in, the gift shop and food court under me roof. At CBR, you check in one place and then drive over to another for the food court.

If I were you, I'd just go with the one that looks more appealing, because they both have their good and bad points, but none of the mods are all THAT different. :)

Yes yes yes! For all of these reasons. CSR far exceeds CB. It is gorgeous!

Yeah, I've had slow experiences there...and I've read that same observation from others.

This is cartoony?

Granted, something may have changed since I was there in 2011, but this is how I remember the room looking...

It certainly isn't this...THIS I would consider cartoony. Fun...but cartoony.

I don't have a problem with the rooms at all - to me it's not disney without some characters about somewhere!!!!

I ain't too bothered about the food court as we will only be having breakfast here tbh!

But thanks everyone all this feedback is amaze x

Yes, very. Your pic doesn't do it justice. The curtains that clash with everything are muted in the pic because of the light through the window. That blue matches nothing! And the lines in them don't help. The cartooned wallpaper border looks like a sliver in the pic, but is cartoony. The bedspreads are cartoony.

I'd rather stay in the Value rooms than CBR.

I adored the CBR rooms before the Nemo re-do. Don't mind colorful, as long as it all blends and isn't cartoony.

I like some character hints, too. This is carried off very well in most rooms...just not at CBR. IMO.

I'm sure some people must like it. I like it for a day or two, but after about four days, I just want to do anything but be in the room, lol. I really do NOT care for those rooms at all.

CSR, otoh, went the opposite direction from the old rooms and made them very boring.

Disney should get their old decorator(s) back.

That's funny...I never noticed the clashing curtains until you mentioned it! <grin>

We had a wonderful stay recently at CSR. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, pool was great for the kids and the bus service was timely without any hiccups. Maybe I'm the minority but as long as the rooms are clean and the beds are queen size or bigger I could care less about the decorating theme. I'm literally only in that room from about 11:00PM at night to roughly 7:30AM and my eyes are closed for 90% of that time.
