I am going to be staying at the Caribbean Beach in May and need the help of you "knowers of all Disney." I was wondering how I go about making special request for my room, (ie. building, recently refurbished room, etc.). Can I do it before I arrive? Any info at all would be great! Thanks!!

You can call CRO and have your request added to your reservation.

We stayed at Martinique building over Christmas one year. It was very convenient...near the bus stop and food court.

OK heres how to request an area...

Call CRO I would say 30 days prior to arrival and tell them where you want to be place. They will note it on the reservation.

Then 5 days prior to your arrival call the Resort directly (407-934-3400) and request where you want to be. This is when Room Placement is assigned.

I would suggest that you stay in the Jamaica section. It is far away from the main area, but it has easy access to a bridge that allows you to get to the main area very quickly. What ever you do don't go to Trinidad South!! Jamaica also is the first drop off bus stop at the resort. And I think that section might even have it's own entrance, but I am not sure.

Hey I worked at the Caribbean Beach Resort. I think that Trinidad North is a wonderful place to stay (hint hint I worked there) I really think that CBR is a really good place to stay and they you will have a very fun time while you are there. By the way the housekeepers are awesome. I was one of them.

Calling CRO (Central Reservations) really hasn't done me a bit of good in the past... your reservation will be sent from CRO to the actual resort that you are staying at 5 days prior to your arrival... that's when you need to call your resort that you're staying at, and make special requests. Caribbean Beach is my favorite resort at Disney... I love walking the whole promenade early in the a.m... my favorite section at Caribbean Beach was Martinique. It's close to the food court, without being too close.

Disney Gal... you're right the housekeepers at Caribbean are the best! :)

You're right-- we had a wonderful housekeeper at CB a year and a half ago. It's the first one I have had at Disney that "played" with us. You know, like she would leave a little washrag bunny, or a pillow/towel elephant, and as we bought little stuffed animals she would leave them in funny places around the room. Then we would do it back to her. One time she even had all the Beanie Donalds (I couldn't help myself- had to buy them) getting ready for the day. One was shaving in the bathroom, one was brushing his teeth, one was taking a shower-- you get the picture.

The last time we were at Disney, we stayed at CB. To make special requests, we called. But, if you make a request while at the front desk regarding a room or location, they will go out of their way to help you out. Room changes during stay? They did that for us too.

Good luck.

We stayed at CBR in 2000, for our honeymoon. And unfortunately we were in Trinidad south. It was nice, but so far away from everything (food court, gift shop, main pool...)

call the resort itself.... most of the time they tell you they cant promise anything such as special building etc.. but they always seem to do it.. at least in my experience... good luck..

We Stayed there in sept. 2001, Me and my Fiancé loved it, we stayed in Jamaica, it was close to everything but not to close, i liked the little walk we had over the island, and hearing the steel drum music in the back ground as we walked to the pool or hot tub at night.(which i recommend after a long day of walking)

I faxed in my room request but it really didn't matter, when we checked in they rattled of a bunch a rooms and when the came to one that was close to what we wanted, we took it.

Thanks everybody for the info. I think we will call 5 days before and request Aruba. Me and my girlfriend want to walk across the bridge and the island with the birds to get to the food court and stuff so that looks like one of the better sections. We can't wait! Only 16 more days til we go.
