Caribbean Beach Resort: Park Buses - Which Depot is Best?

Hello, all! It looks like we'll be staying at CBR for the first time in November 2016 - standard (non-preferred) room.

I know the resort is far-flung and can require a lot of walking, and I've read that the buses to the parks generally start at Martinique (and sometimes Jamaica) and proceed around the resort's depots in a clockwise fashion before heading out to a park. I just wondered: is it common for the buses to get full before finishing the full loop around the resort and go to a park instead of completing the loop, such that depots near the end of the run (e.g., Barbados) are a less desirable place to wait?

I'm just trying to figure out: (1) the best village(s) to request, both in order to minimize wait time for the bus, and to give us a better chance of not having to stand; and (2) whether, if we're placed in a village that has a "less-frequented" bus depot (if, in fact, some are less-frequented), it might be worth it to walk all the way over to another, more desirable depot when we're headed to a park. I welcome your thoughts!

The only bus that now starts in Martinique is Disney Springs. All the Parks buses start in Jamaica now. Every so often, depending on traffic, a returning bus late at night will go in the front door, but they have changed the bus routes so they all come and go in the back door.

That said, Jamaica would be your first choice for getting seats on a bus. Of course, if the bus is coming back full, you may have to stand a bit while others get off.

All depots get stopped at, there is no stop that is less frequented. Barbados is probably the most crowded due to it being the largest village.

Optimally, you should try to request Jamaica near the bridge. This will put you a reasonable walking distance from both the bus stop and Old Port Royale (food court/pool/gift shop).

My family and I have stayed at CBR on every trip to WDW [14 total]. Buses have never been a problem. Sometimes, when we stop at Old Port Royale for a snack or to get something, we just go to the bus stop at OPR and its been fine. I wouldn't worry about it too much. The resort is big but wherever you stay, you'll be fine. If you like that "tropical" feel and bright colors, you'll enjoy it. I love that so the resort has always been my fave. Hope you have a blast!

Issues only arose for us at peak morning times. We are early rope droppers so were fine when catching first buses leaving for parks, later (from 8am) there could be issues with full buses. We were in pirate rooms so last to be collected which didn't help. On the 2 days we left a bit later, we walked to OPR for a takeaway breakfast and caught the bus there.
The advice about buildings in Jamaica, by the bridge, is good-that's where we would request if we were to return. Gorgeous resort and fab pool.

We usually go to Old Port Royale for a quick breakfast before heading to the parks, and the bus stop there has always been a good stop for getting seats. It does depend on where the buses begin their loop though. If Jamaica is the first stop, then the OPR stop could be a problem getting seats.

buses never seemed to always be the same route....on the way back i think they come in different entrances depending on factors.

that stop was a madhouse when we stayed in early October. they had to call extra buses in.
