Caribbean Beach Question?

Hi everyone,
We are in the process of booking our vacation for April 2011. We are planning to stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort. My question is, what building would you recommend? We want something with a nice view, doesn't really have to be close to the food court. Is there a building that is closer to bus stops etc......Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks:wave:

I recommend staying in the Aruba village. Each village has it's own bus stop, and we always get put in a room that looks onto one of the yards/gardens. And it's right across the lake from Port Royale but far enough away to where the volume from the pool area doesnt bother you.

We stayed in Jamaica Bldg 41 on the street side, but every building looks to have a "view" side. We really liked it because it was near the street that went out to the road (sorry, I don't remember the names). We seemed to get on buses (EPCOT I specifically recall) that came in from the road, stopped at our bus stop first, made a few stops and went out the front entrance (and not all the way around).

We have always preferred Aruba or Jamaica usually asking for a building close to the bridge. It is a nice short walk over to Old Port Royale that way without paying for the preferred rooms in the villages right next to Old Port Royale. No matter where we stayed you are never too far from a bus stop because each village and Old Port Royale has a bus stop. Have a great trip!

ARUBA building 52, second story lake view. #5256-5261

Trust me, I know.

Followed by ARUBA 51 and JAMAICA 45. Jamaica and Aruba are a great location. Martinique and Trinidad North are far too close to OPR, and Barbados and Trinidad South are entirely too far.

You'll also get the warm morning sunrises on this side of the lake!! Aruba and Jamaica.

All of Trinidad North and half of Martinique are what's called "preferred location," meaning that those rooms are the closest rooms to Old Port Royale, the comnplex that has the main pool, foor court, etc. ... preferred location is a separate room category that costs more per night than a standard room.

Each village has its own bus stop, so you're never too far from a bus stop. There's no such thing as a certasin building that has a superior view compared to the others, since all of the buildings have 4 sides and all of the buildings have water views, courtyard views, "parking lot" views, and so on.,

"Water view" is another booking category that costs more per night than standard.

we stayed in the jamaica building a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. it was a little bit of a walk to the lobby, but it was a very nice walk so we didn't mind. we would definitely stay at this resort again, enjoy!

we stayed in the jamaica building, such beautiful grounds, it's a short walk to bus stop, hammock & play structure for kids and main pool & restaurants
It's at the top or our list if we return 2011 ;)

My wife and I have been to WDW several times without our son. We always try to stay in Aruba, but for a reason that may sound insane. Staying in Aruba puts you fairly close to Buena Vista Drive. From there it's an easy walk to the Boardwalk resort, and from there you can walk into Epcot or Studios.

We keep in mind that we have a little hike back to hotel at the end of the day, but it's actually a relaxing way to finish up. You don't have to battle crowds on the buses, and, especially in the warmer months, it's usually nice weather.

I have to agree with you there. Aruba or Jamaica is not too far from the main building, but not close either. It seems just right.

It's nostalgic walking across that bridge for me, becasue that is where we stayed on our honeymoon, and that was the first time I ever went to WDW :)

Have a great time, and make sure you use the hammocks!!!
