Usually my wife and I stay at Pop, but my father wants to plan a larger family trip and we were discussing moving up to a moderate. Caribbean Beach seemed perfect for us and when I checked room rates initially a few months ago, they were pretty reasonable ($220ish per night). Off-peak rates and cool weather were our primary reasons for going during this part of the year. Checking now, Pop has gone up a little but CB has shot through the roof. For the last week of January/first week of February it's at $314 per night. For comparison, POFQ and PORS are $270, CS is $249. Is CB normally priced this high relative to the others? Is there something going on with the resort than I'm missing? I also noticed that on the summer promo offer, the other moderates are 20% discount, Pop and AoA are 15%, yet CB is only a 10%. Is it just that being on the Skyliner is so desirable that the demand is pushing rates higher?
Update - Exploring further, CB shows that every room type aside from the King is unavailable during most dates I check around late January/early February. Is CB really selling out during the winter?
