Yes. ;)

Values are more kid friendly. Of the moderates, if you're looking for more rustic then I suggest Alligator Bayou in POR. Plus you have boat access to DS (same as POFQ).

I, too, would recommend Alligator Bayou at PORS. My children (then aged 4 and 6) loved it when we stayed there on our first WDW trip. If you think you might be visiting the main building (to use the main bus depot, pick up items at the store, refill mugs, etc.), request one of the building numbers that is close to the preferred ones (without actually being preferred).

POFQ has a nice small footprint, but I don't know if it has rooms that sleep 5, and the theming is a little less kid-pleasing. Caribbean Beach and CS have awesome feature pools, but giant footprints that can be a real pain to navigate with little ones.

mmm this is very confusing!
alligator bayou is part of POR?

Yes. It's divided into Magnolia Bend and Alligator Bayou. Magnolia Bend is made up of the Old South-style "Mansions" (some of which include the "Royal Rooms," which are specially decorated in a princess theme and rented at a premium), while Alligator Bayou has a more rustic, Princess and the Frog-influenced, style of room decor. Room sizes are the same -- the difference is in the decorating, and in the Murphy beds available in Alligator Bayou to sleep a 5th guest. (Magnolia Bend rooms sleep 4.)

"Pool hopping" is against the rules. However, Port Orleans has its own feature pool (Ol' Man Island), which most people would argue is much nicer and better-themed than the one at POFQ, as well as several smaller "quiet pools" scattered around the resort.

dthanks i wasnt sure it was pool hopping as its kind of the same resort
:)
I would argue that you could do both. On POFQ they listed both resorts for pools.

They list the same on Riverside's

Ill throw in a vote for CBR, our personal favorite. The main pool is wonderful with a great splash area for the little ones. ALot of other activities available and my kids love running on the beaches. YOu cant go wrong with any of them though!
