wow sounds like a good deal. but i guess i'm getting a little ahead of myself-- i haven't even graduated high school yet. lol one more year!

auto plaza = toll booth. yeah, that doesn't seem like something i would go for. not a lot of contact other than "thank you have a good day." oh, and do you rotate through roles when you're in a job that has different responsibilities? (parking has tram and parker, and quick svc food has cashier and the drink people) or are you stuck?

In parking you can be switched or you can ask some one to switch with you, between Parking cars, speiling, or driving the tram. If you're there for more than 5 months you'll be cross trained in another area. I was cross trained at Mickey's Gift Station.

The breaks for other locations are really rather strict. Im doing the Summer Alumni Program and was put into Quick Food and Beverage and what they do, depending on how long your shift, is let say 8 hours which give you two 15 min breaks and one 30 min break, they push those all to together to make a 1 hour break, and they take 30 mins out of your pay. So you could be working for 2 hours, go on break for and hour and then work 5 hours till you clock out.

Auto Plaza is one of those job where either you love or you hate it. Its really up to you and what you like in a job.

What's up Evan, long time to see! I heard you went back home are you coming back? I need to pick up a shift in parking soon, im having withdrawls!

If you work in the parking lot, you'll primarily be either driving or spieling on a tram, or parking cars out in the lot. The Auto Plaza is a different job altogether, and although they wear the same costume, they do not enjoy the same breaks as someone in the parking lot does.

As far as breaks go, you have scheduled breaks every two hours. i.e., if you start your shift at 8am, you have scheduled breaks at 10, 12, 2... When it's time for your break the coordinator will pick you up in the van and take you to the break room. Say you're on break for 45 minutes (an average break), you get back to work at 10:45, and you know that your next break is only an hour and fifteen minutes away. Pretty sweet. Of course, its not exactly a science, sometimes breaks are early/late short/long, but overall you're probably only working a little more than half the time you're at work.

I'm doing the CP program this fall, and transportation was my first choice but I got my second, operations. And I initially thought it would be very cool to be working on a ride but that getting parking would be a bummer...glad to hear that's not the case. Thanks!

yeah, i was a wee bit concerned about some of the positions that you could be assigned, but it seems that just about anything can be... magical... if you make it that way. :)
