IF I was a Star Wars fan and IF I was able to be in Disney at that time I would so do this. Sounds pretty neat. How much detail can they possibly get from your face for a 8 inch figure though? Sounds cool.

Considering people were paying upwards of $250 for those star Wars big figs, yea, I think people would spend $100 plus shipping...
I like this idea... Hopefully they sell well and they think about introducing this as regular offering and not just as Star Wars Weekends merchandise..

I'm a Star Wars geek and I'd splurge for the keychain, life size, and big fig of me frozen in carbonite...

Looks like a powder-based 3D print probably built on a ZCorp machine with a little bit of finishing. I didn't see where it said the size, but someone else said 8 inches? So that would probably take around 10 hours to build on the machine depending on quality. That makes the $100 price tag a pretty good bargain. Sounds cool!

While my sci-fi geekdom tends to lean very strongly towards Star Trek, instead of Star Wars, yes, I would indeed fork over the money to be able to Carbonite my toddler.
When I posted the link to the story on my Facebook, the usual and not so usual suspects chimed in saying that it was very cool and a couple of people decided that maybe they should go to WDW for a Star Wars Weekend, just because of this.
I think this could have a very long line, even at the price that they are asking.

I like the idea. But, too bad I won't be there for this. Price is a bit high for me, though I've been known to spend hundreds of dollars on Star Wars memoribillia. I'm kinda wondering if this is going to be a hunk of plastic they are sending us or will it be made as a diecast or pewter. If its plastic I definately would not purchase it. But if its made out of metal then yeah, I could see myself throw my money at this.
