Car or No Car

We have just booked our 14 night holiday for August 2020. Last time we hired a car and it sat in the hotel car park not used for 9/14 days. This time we are thinking of not booking a car. We are aware that this time the hotel will charge parking $25 a night. We have free transport to hotel and back via the disney express. The on site transport is great. However we use the car for going to walmart and outlets and seaworld and discovery cove ect? am torn

How expensive are the taxi / ubers for those type of trips

We always fly in and use Magical Express. We prebook a rental car from the car care center for a couple days so we can do our grocery shopping, etc. Just pick whatever time you would like them to pick you up at your resort to get the car. You could always book a car two separate times during your 14 day stay. It takes an hour or so to have them pick you up and take you to get the car, but if you don't mind that, it would be a way you could get around without having to pay for 14 days of parking/rental charges for a vehicle you don't use.

I'd either plan out your off property days and rent the car for only that time frame or I'd do uber/lyft.
Not sure of the prices but I bet its not as expensive as the car rental + parking fees.
