Coming out on the 22nd... I'm leaving for WDW on the 23rd. Don't know if I'll make it to the theater or be doing last minute packing... But I am planning on catching it at some time. Might have to wait until we get back. I don't go to the movies at DTD.

yea I dont either but I almost made an exception when dark knight came out. We leave the 21st for WDW and this movie isnt high enough priority to take away from my Disney time.

Dark Knight is one of my son's favorite. The bat scene creeped me out though.
How long are you going for? I'm so anxious to get there next Saturday. Going with my son for a week. My wife has a friend who is there now, she says the crowds don't seem as bad as last year. It's hot, there have been some quick thunderstorms rolling through. The photos she has sent don't show excessive crowded conditions either.

We will be there from Saturday to Saturday and I cant wait. The 21st cant come soon enough. It would be nice if the crowds were lighter this year. Last year we ended up with 2 sick kids so we had to skip a lot. So if its not as crowded as usual, that would help us make up for the last trip.

I actually finally saw Thor last night, and it was done really well I think. They did a good job of tying it in with the other Marvel movies for the upcoming Avengers next year.

I know this Avengers movies needs to be a monster of a movie. I really hope they give every hero a fair amount of time and that there is enough action everyone is expecting.

I loved Thor. Thought it was the best superhero movie of the year so far, and found it very enjoyable overall. I was prepared to hate it from the previews. I liked the X-men too, but found the Green Lantern to be very average. With the FX being so impressive nowadays, the story has to be really well done to set it apart. I thought Thor did that.

To answer your question, my family is all stoked up to see Captain America. My wife and daughter had no idea of the storyline of the comic, but the previews captivated them. My boys are fans of the comic so they are natural viewers, and I think if it is well reviewed it has a chance of being a big hit. I think that the trailers are the best done of the year so far in terms of attracting a wider audience. I am hoping too that it will be finally the breakaway hit that I think Joe Johnson deserves.

That is my big fear, too many heros to give proper screen time. They will need to walk a fine line with this one so it doesnt feel like they are glancing over anyone or dragging everything out. I am very excited for the avengers and hope they just knock it out of the park.

I will be going to see Captain America this weekend for sure.. Just debating if I want to go Friday afternoon, night, or Saturday...

Captain America won't break any records... But it should do better business than Green Lantern...

Thor, in my opinion, was excellent... loved it... Didn't see Green Lantern, so I cannot compare... I'm hoping for a great Captain America film... By the looks of the previews, trailers, and movie posters, this movie will not fail to deliver...

I'm going Sunday night. And it should most definitely do better than Green Lantern; what a travesty! I hope someone reboots it immediately! I'm a Marvel guy, but Green Lantern is one of my favorite DC characters.

Yes, Captain America looks great! Plus, as always, wait until the end of the credits; I hear it gives some info on the Avengers movie :sohappy:

Have you heard of an Avengers teaser trailer playing before Captain America? A friend of mine told me he heard that, I only heard of the ending, trying all the heroes together for the Avengers movie...

And Green Lantern, from all reports, is already going to be getting a sequel... Maybe the studio feels DVD sales will more than make up for the major under performance of the movie... I doubt it LOL...

Its AFTER the credits like always :D

Well, I hope that the sequel is a lot better. Personally I think they should reboot it with a whole new actor and everything. They didn't do the movie justice the way it was done.

Captain America, Wait is this a Disney Film?

It’s still taking a little getting used to for me to accept that these Marvel superhero films are now Disney films as well. Yes, technically Paramount is still distributing Captain America, but Marvel is 100% Disney now. There’s no denying that Disney has a new set of live action film stars on its hands. Thor, while not a game changer, was a pleasant success. Now Captain America up next to see what sort of damage he can do at the box office. Next year’s The Avengers will be the real test.

Early reviews for Captain America are good. Fan boys (and girls) will certainly like it. It sounds like they did a good job setting up the mythology that eventually becomes the basis for the other heroes and organizations in Marvel’s The Avengers multiverse without too much deviation. It also sounds like there are no issues with returning to a World War II setting yet again for another film. Apparently America’s appetite for showing how badass we were as a fighting force has no bounds, not sure how well that will play in the rest of the world, however.

Ready or not, Captain America will hit theaters this Friday. How does the first Avenger fit into your summer movie-going plans? A must see? or a wait and see?

I am looking forward to seeing this and hope to see it sometime next week. I am not that familiar with Captian America but the previews have made me want to see it. It looks like it could be fun.

Saw it today with the family and loved it. I really liked Thor as well earlier this year. The two movies are really my favorite films of the year so far, and it anyone was surprised by THAT it was certainly me. We all enjoyed HP as well but for flat out fun and excitement the Super Hero Avenger Boys of 2011 (Thor and CA) win in my book.

And the Avenger Trailer was extremely good as well.

CA is appropriate for just about everyone.

Saw it last night and it was great! Chris Evans was a good choice to play the Cap', and the rest of the cast were great picks as well.

The Avengers trailer was very good and I'm excited to see what they do with this film!
