Capt. Jacks

Hi - Taking our grandson for 5 days in early December. We have taken our granddaughters and we did the Cinderella dinner and Princess lunch. We're looking for places that would interest our grandson (7). Has anyone eaten at Capt. Jacks? It looks like its on the dining plan. Is it a "theme" restaurant? We'll still do Chef Mickey's and probably the Crystal Palace. I'm also aware of the Sci Fri diner and he'll probably love that one. Thanks.:wave:

Hi! The last time we were there, Capt'n Jacks was not a themed restaurant. It was mostly like any seafood restaurant at the beach--no characters or anything like that.:wave:

It's also got a bar that you can sit at and eat food.

The "Capt'n" is just part of the name - no pirate theming involved.
In my opinion, there are other restaurants that a 5 year old would enjoy more.

It also predates the Captain Jack Sparrow character by a decade or two (or three?).
But I've heard recently of people who have made reservations to eat there, and then are angry when they get there and find out it's not dinner with pirates.

Cap't Jack's is a nice little place to eat... but nothing too exciting for a child. I would instead go to a place like 'Ohana or Whispering Canyon Cafe, if you're looking specifically for something exciting for the kiddo.
