Hopefully that pier gets themed heavily. It looks very industrial right now. And here I was hoping for a wooden pier. (Not gonna happen I know)

That is my favorite place to eat lunch or dinner. I hope the food will still be as good as it was. Im really happy that they are adding more seating space as it tended to get overly crowded at times.

Can anyone tell me how this will work with it now being both a CS and TS restaurant? Will it be the same menu for both? How will it work with Illuminations?

It has not yet been confirmed how the menu will differ, but it would certainly be different.

Actually, thats how they build the superstructure for docks that will have heavy daily traffic. The steel will be masked and if they are going for the dock/pier look, they'll add hundreds of brackets and attach wood planks to give the appearance its all wood but with the added strength of steel.

From an article I just stumbled upon, it suggests that the Cantina will be a test of sorts for the Be our Guest restaurant. So I guess that means it will be a dual purpose purpose restaurant, changing over between CS and TS at some point in the day.

Agreed and I love that they are thinking outside the box like this. I fully expect attractions to follow suit in the future. So, for instance the Haunted Mansion could have two operating modes. One in the daytime and then a more intense experience at night. All with the click of a mouse.
