Are you allowed to videotape it?

I wouldn't want to sit there holding the camera for all of it (since we don't get to go to WDW that often) but mabye just 5-10 minutes or something like that.

Yes you can videotape it. You can use a tripode for your camera, but it can't be any taller than your head so it doesn't block the people behind you.

Since it is extremely popular, you need to either stand in line to see the show, or you can book a dinner/CP package (180 days in advance). Epcot features two shows each night; the second show is usually less crowded, and ends about 15 minutes before Illuminations begins. The shows usually start around Thanksgiving

Any CMs heard anything specific with regards to when the packages will be available this year? All I've heard so far was a window from late July to mid August.

I so regret not seeing this when we went in December. A friend of mine had seen it before, so I asked her about it. She said "It's kinda neat, but you can stand behind the chairs, watch a little, and then go on about your business." When we got there and saw what it was, and realized:

1. You couldn't really see beyond the people that were already standing.

And

2. Nobody wanted to stand for the whole show, it was pretty long.

My family FLAMED me big time because I am the planner and "Why aren't we seeing the show?" Good job Mommy!
