Candlelight Processional

Anyone know when the dinner packages will be available? I know last year it was mid-August but that was before the new 180 day dinning ressies. My 180 days is coming up in less than 2 weeks and I'd like to be able to book my Candlelight Processional dinner package soon. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi, Mystic:

I've never been to WDW at Christmas. I'm thinking of taking my 5 year old this year. The Candlelight Processional sounds intriguing. What kind of dinner packages are offered? Where can I find out more about them?

This is my first post so please be kind! Thanks for the help!

Don't worry, I'm not going to bite :p . Welcome to the boards.

As for the Candlelight Processional here's a link to a good description http://allearsnet.com/tp/h_cpfaq.htm The dinner package gets you reserved seating at the show plus dinner.

Something to consider as well is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The tickets for this are already on sale. Here's an idea of what you can expect. http://allearsnet.com/tp/hol_mvmcp.htm

This is my first holiday at the world. I have my MVMCP tickets and ressies for the Tavern that night. I need more info on this event though. What places can you make the ressies at for the reserved seating? I can hardly wait until my visit to the world at the holiday!!:xmas:

I booked my MVMCP ressie about a week ago and at that point they had no idea when anything relating to CP was going to be available.

They have to get through Food/Wine first. Those ressies are a serious crush on the department for a few weeks, then shortly thereafter (only kind of overlapping) they'll release Candelight. That was with the 90-days booking policy though. Since it's now 180 it's anyone's guess as to when it will come out and start booking for either.

The CM I spoke to the other week when making my LTT ressie for MVMCP said just to call back periodically cause they don't know when things will be released for CP. Gonna ask when I call on June 3rd for my other dinning ressies.

Guests will be able to book the 2006 Candlelight Dinner Package starting in mid to late August, once the Narrators have been confirmed. I will be happy to post all information, and answer any questions about this year's offerings, once the start date is confirmed and the list of narrator's are officially released.

Note, we have been told at DRC that any dine reservation that is booked from general availabliity can not be converted to the Candlelight Package availability at a later date. Please don't try to book just a table now if you want the package later. You are only decreasing the number of tables availiable for the package (and decreasing your chances of getting the restaurant of your choice) once the Candlelight Package is officially released.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:

Hijacking, (if you don't mind).

This is our first trip to WDW. Would the Candelight procession be appropriate for a 2 year old? (We also have a 9 and a 7 year old).

Also, how do you know when you can start booking? Is it 180 days out? Is there an easy converter out there so I don't have to flip through the calendar?

Thanks! Hijack over. :)

Thanks JP!
I haven't decide if we are going to do the CP package this year or not. I really enjoyed it last year with my mom (and LOVED it), but I'm not too sure how the kids will do.

We went to the Candelight Processional this last year with Eartha Kit as the reader. She was phenominal! In our tribe was Grandma (76), Dad (42), Mom (40), Daughter #1 (7 years old), Son (6 years old) & Daughter #2 (10 months). Needless to say, all the adults enjoyed the the concert emencially. Daughter #1 was enthralled, wanting to join a choir at school when we got home. My son was less than enthused-the only part he liked was the Herald Trumpets! The baby was dancing (bouncing) to the music.

We had the dining package and ate at The Coral Reef at the Living Seas pavillion, which I can't recommend enough. I know the food is rated as good (not great) but being able to watch the aquarium during dinner is awesome! If your kids like aquariums or just fish in general then this is the restrauant for you. Watch for the sea turtle, he's hugh and all conversations stop when he swims by! We even were treated to watching a wedding proposal delivered by a scuba diver (with a "Yes" and round of aplause for the couple .)
:sohappy:

I'm hoping that the readers will be announced soon. We are planning our trip back again this year for the 2nd week in December and plan on repeating the Processional and dinner. I just need to wait for the AP rates for Dec. to come out.

Thanks JP! I have found so many of your posts very helpful!! I am glad to know the above information as that was my next question. Question answered, don't try to make a dinner ressie just to try to ensure a package table at a specific place. I am a little concerned because we want to do the package at Le Cellier and I have been hearing they are getting booked pretty quickly! Well, we are flexible on which night we choose! Another question - I now there are multiple shows each night and that even with the package the lines can be long. Is there a best time to ask for seating to have time to get in line!! This is our first December trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, so I am very excited and going planning crazy!!

Hello, my name is Heather and I'm a plan-a-holic!!!
