I am planning to see the Candelight Processional this Friday Dec 10th. I read that there are show times nightly at 5, 6:45 and 8:15 p.m.

I do not have the dinner package, so I will be lining up. I am going solo. Which show will be the least crowded? When should I line up for it?

Thanks!

all of them are going to be crowded. i got in line 2 hours prior to the show and was one of the first people in line and yet was seated in the middle rows. the people who book it with the dining take up the majority of the seating so make sure you get there pretty early cause that line will fill up and they can only fill it up as much as they can.

You may want to consider just watching the show from behind the theater. Whoopi Goldberg will be the narrator, and it's on a weekend. Unfortunately, that means that all three shows will be extremely crowded. Your best bet is the 8:15 show, lining up no later than 7:00--earlier if possible. Though, I'll be in the choir for that show--I'll be easy to find: I'll be wearing green and holding a candle! :xmas:

I thought I'd resurrect this thread rather than start a new one to relate our CP experience.

We went last night - Tuesday, 12/21 - planning to catch Trace Adkins at the 8:15 showing. He did a very nice job by the way.

The crowds were large but mostly manageable - you just sort of had to go with the flow.

We arrived at the theater area around 6:15. The package crowd was mostly loaded and it looked like standby was about 1/3 to 1/2 loaded.

We got in the end of the queue just past Italy and the CM monitoring the line with his clicker informed us that the queue for the 6:45 show was 210 people over capacity if all the packages showed up, but that we'd definitely be seated for the third.

Our plan was to stay in the queue until the show was fully loaded, but then to leave the line completely if it appeared we could monitor it from someplace more comfortable and rejoin when needed.

We almost left the line at four different times when we stopped moving, but each time, we'd see them begin to admit more guests.

The bottom line is that we were seated for the 6:45 show about 30 seconds before Trace came on stage. We were on the right side in the third row behind the covered section - best seats we've ever had since they began the packages. And I'd estimate that an additional 30 to 40 people were admitted after we were.

Finally, after a leisurely walk around the lake, we got back to the theater area as it was being loaded for the last show, and from the looks of things, last minute walkups easily got seats.

Draw whatever conclusions you care to.
