Is there anything that keeps the interest of a one year old?

CP is mostly an adult thing but ages 6 and up should enjoy it also if they like to listen to Christmas carols sung by a choir.

The performance lasts about 50 minutes.

actually i think that it will keep the interest of the six year old, and maybe the 1 year old.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I would seriously consider taking the 1yr old in case he gets restless and upsets the other guests. I would suggest that you're better off listening from outside the theatre for a while (just in case) then picking your spot for Illuminations

I'm not planning to do it. I know that my (then) 21 month old and (then) 5 year old would never sit through it.
