Candlelight Processional

Now I'm confused - I was under that impression (higher price meal = better view). I will await updates before booking for this Christmas.
Nope, there's no difference in seating among the tiers (at least, to date there hasn't been any difference--everything at Disney is subject to change). The only difference is which restaraunt you eat at.

Typically, the "stand-by" guests line up starting on the side of the theater closest to Italy, while the reserved, dining package guests line up starting on the side of the theater closest to Japan. It would be best to confirm this with a cast member in the area, though.

EVERYBODY HAS THE DINING PACKAGE!!!

no joke.

I didn't find it worth the extra money to have "reserved seating" for the candlelight procession...I think more than half of the people for the showing I went to had the dining package sticker on...

Can anyone help me regarding the meal 'tier' system?

Last year (and previous years), you had the option of selecting your chosen restaurant from 3 tiers.

We mistakenly thought that, if you choose the highest priced tier, you would get a better seat at the CP. However, this turned out not to be the case.

Everyone from all tiers queued in the same place, it was a case of first-come first-seated.

Though, with the tiers, you pay a lump sum for the dinner and the "reserved seating." The higher the tier you pay for, the bigger and more lavish the meal...plus you're getting your Appetizer, entree, drink, and desert all included much like with the dining plan. What you're really paying for with the Candlelight Procession Dining package is the meal. The Lunch dining packages are cheaper than the dinner packages and the "reserved seating' guests do get let into the theater before the general admission guests do.

You buy a dinner package. The cost depends on the level of restaurant you want. Last year the price was from $28 to $42. Lowest level was places like The Garden Grill. Highest was Les Chefs de France, etc.

If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, it just uses up a credit.

To buy the dinner package you call the same place that you call for making ADR's for any Disney restaurant. What you are buying really is the meal. With it they give you a tag that allows you into the theatre before people who did not buy the dinner packgage can get in.

We always see the Candlelight Processional and always use the dinner package to get good, and guaranteed, seats.

Have fun.
