This sucks...

I was on the phone at 7:01AM. Press 1 for English. What would you like to do? Are you in the Orlando area? Have you visited the Walt Disney World Resort Before? etc?

Please stay on the phone after the call to take a survey. And then the phone hangs up on me.

Haven't been able to get through since.

It's getting pretty ridiculous.

I have existing Epcot reservations. Anyone know if they can just add the Candlelight Package?

They have not in past years.

Still have not gotten through.

I haven't even been able to get into the system to be able to wait yet!

It's definitely a frustrating experience. To answer some of the other questions:

- You have to book a new reservation for the Candlelight, an existing reservation can't be upgraded (or so I was told this morning).

- The 8:15 show has dinner between 5 - 6. The 6:45 show has dinner between 3 - 4. It's possible the window times could be a tad longer. The 5:00 show seats for lunch only.

I gave up on the dining line and called through the DVC members line and got right in at 9:00 AM when it opened and no wait. I booked San Angel and the price went up $2.00 PP adult from last year for cat 2 & 3. I didn't check pricing on cat 1.

Finally made it into the system about 45 mins ago, was on hold for 30 mins... the rep started to enter my reservation when her computer "died" and they dropped me back into the queue... ARRGGGHHH!!!

Even the passholder hotline was giving operator messages...

I have been to WDW a lot and have enjoyed the CLP from afar. Is the Dinner worth it?
Last year was my first for CLP and I absolutely feel the dinner was worth it. I feel you see so much more by being up close. Doing again this year. Will wait patiently for narrator to be announced for 12/6. Good luck to everyone trying to get thru.

Do they have narrators listed for the 1rst week in Dec yet? Everywhere I look its "TBD". Rather frustrating as that is when we are going to be there. I would REALLY like to know the narrator before we book our dinner package. Is Disney really having this much trouble lining up narrators this year?

I booked my reservation not knowing who the narrator is. I figure Disney will uphold the tradition of having the best available. If I don't recognize the narrator there is always Google.

BOOYAH BABY! :ROFLOL:

After a hour and half (two reps and two trips through the queue), finally got our reservations! The family will be happy, Biergarten on 12/11 for the 8:15PM Processional... just like the old days :)

Although, they did seem to go up with the Tier 1 prices, $50.05 per person...

Spent several hours of redial. Finally got through and our first two choices were booked solid. Ended up with Coral Reef. Oh well the kids will like looking at the fish and we can check back for cancelations.

The dinner has become a necessity if you want to view CLP from the seats. Unlike F! where they will only sell a small portion of the seats with the dinner package they will and do sell the capacity of the theater for CLP.

Is it worth it? To me no. Back when the price was only a few bucks more than dinner it was. Now that the cash price is bordering on double that of dinner it is just not worth it to me anymore. If someone the likes James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman or Sir Patrick Stewart narrates I'll pony up the cash but there is no way that I am going to drop nearly $300 to see Jodi Benson or the ever popular TBD.

Sorry you didn't get your first choice. Keep calling and maybe someone will cancel. I keep hoping someone will cancel at O'Hanna for my December stay. I could only get a reservation for 9:40. Little late for dinner. I called 180 days out and everything was booked. Enjoy!
