Please excuse some background information as I head toward my question. I am generally a one day at a time WDW visitor. I have stayed for two week trips several times, as well as two or three day stays, but the majority of my Disney World trips consist of open-to-close single day trips. Ah, the joys of annual pass living! As my daughter is about to embark on her first year of college, my wife and I would like to take her to the World for the entire week before Christmas when she comes home for her break from school (if we do this, it will be a surprise to her).
My question involves the Candlelight Procession Dining Package. We have seen this show several times, but always as standby guests (spur of the moment, single day tripper, remember?). We do not want to miss the show because of crowding, but I am not a fan of dining packages. Would it be fairly safe to go standby, or should I go ahead and attempt to buy a dining package instead?
We want to make this trip special for her, as we did not expect to go back to WDW during her college years, and this show is one of her favorites. I realize that answers to this question will involve a bit of conjecture, but I value and trust the opinions of “y’all” regarding Disney related matters. Thanks in advance for your help. :xmas:
