Does anyone else think it strange that Whoopi Goldberg (who is Jewish and doesn't celebrate Christmas) has been a narrator for several years? We will be there in early December when she is usually of the Narrators. We don't want to see her.

Not really. She is a Disney fan and a celebrity. She, like many notable people want to have some connection to Disney. Having been asked multiple times, she must see it as a privilege to appear, it gets her more exposure, and for Disney, it attracts more guests in to buy tickets who like her. Shes only reading a script and does a decent job of it. I go more for the music and Choir singers than the Narrator. The Narrators only do a 3 day appearance so if you dont like her then hopefully youll get to hear someone else.

It's a great story that most people can appreciate.

I know several atheists who attend every year.

It can happen...

Christmas has been both a religious holiday AND secular holiday for over a century. It is only naive, wishful thinking to believe that it can be "returned" to its purely religious roots - especially since the date was chosen to replace a non-Christian celebration. Many Christian groups do not even celebrate it, as they feel it is not an important part of the life of Christ or the Christian faith.

Please feel free to celebrate the day as religiously or festively as you like. Or not at all. But it hasn't been" for Christians only" in a long, long time.
