I have broken my feet and toes several times and DO understand the frustration of not being able to jump up and accomplish things...just did a minor reinjury to little toe a few days back :animwink: and trying to be patient and YES a delayed trip to Disney is hard to take...but that being said, this too shall pass and what will you learn or take posative from the experience? Once I learned to get over feeling sorry for self and what I could NOT do....I focused instead on what I COULD do and it sure was alot of stuff!!! My first major keep my foot elevated above heart for 6 weeks to SEE if they would THEN do surgery...that was my worst....I used those little scoot carts to get stuff at stores and realized how rude people are to handicapped individuals most of the time....which in turn gave me great empathy for others and whenever I see a "boot" on foot I swap stories and listen....and understand. It will or should give you compassion for other peeps of all ages to what they are going thru in the future! It's not the end of world!!! I was blessed that it was my left foot and I could still drive! Took me a year to walk normal but made it to Disney many trips since......
Hang in there!! Make a list of all the things you CAN still do.....be creative....think hard....ask others for HELP!!!! sometimes it's something really simple and stupid that others don't realize you need or want and give them the satisfaction of HELPING by communicating how they can help...and THANK them....
