Also I should add that I am terrible at math!! Lol...I don't know how but my sit down meals actually come to 531.93. For some reason I thought cinderellas royal table was 250 for 2 adults and 1 child

The 675$ is only our sit down meals. My 4yr old eats like a bird so that's why I'm considering canceling it bc we usually share meals. I did the math last night and I added up everything but our snacks and it came out to about 850$

Still...it's a savings. This is what I do before every trip...weigh out where we want to eat, snacks & drinks and what we'd likely order compared to the cost and provisions of DDP.

I'm a huge fan of the deluxe dining plan, but always end up with leftover credits. I do a lot of signature and character dines on the trip though, so it skews the plan in my favor (just me and the kid).

For you, it sounds like you'd be better off out of pocket then on the plan. I think you've done enough analysis, and appropriate analysis, and now it's time to call Disney to see if there are any change fees or room up rates involved with dropping the plan.

If there aren't, I'd say drop it.

Do you have tip included in what'd you'd pay? (not that the DDP covers tips, but just to make sure you have the cash on hand! : )

Ugh Idk. My TA just emailed me back and said that cinderella's royal table is 90$ per person?? I haven't seen a price like that anywhere.

I can confirm that. I literally just booked (as in a few hours ago) CRT for August, and it cost ~115 for me and the kid combined.

Of course, I had forgotten for that leg of the trip that I had a dining plan attached to the room, so I had to call back, cancel the first reservation, get my money refunded to my card, and then book using dining plan credits.

But, 90 a person seems...steep.

I agree. I don't think she is very happy about me asking about canceling my dining plan.

I'm sure it effects her commission.

That being said, even if you cancel the DDP, I would still make a few ADRs. If you want to do Cindy's RT, you will want an ADR for sure. With no dining plan, they will charge your card up front for this particular venue. Most other ADRs they either don't care, or ask for a card to "hold" the reservation, and if you miss the ADR they will charge $10 per person on the reservation to your card if you don't cancel within a 24 prior period.

Just call 407.WDW.DINE. They will give you all the skivvy!

Well we have all our ADRs reserved at this point. I know I'll have to pay for CTR if I cancel the DDP.

Breakfast / Lunch for the kid and I on August 2 was like $105, dinner was $115. If you call WDW.DINE they'll tell you what the cost would really be, because it does vary based on date (hence why I asked what date you were planning, cause I was gonna call for you!). <grin>

That's a great time choice, by the way. You'll love getting into the park before opening, I suspect!

I just got off the phone with WDW.DINE.

For the day and time you wish to book, cost is $53.29 per adult and $34.64 per child. So, with two adults, one child, you are looking at $141.22. This includes taxes and gratuity.

Yeah...90 buck per...hrm...I think not.
