Cancel dining plan?

I didn't have any dining plan discounts. My dining plan cost was 1000$. I'm just crunching numbers. So far my adrs come out to 675$ and I added up the peak season costs. We are leaving next Sunday so I'm not sure if that is considered peak season or not.

Did you include quick service meals in your $675 price?
I can't imagine your QS meals would bring you to the $1000, but it's worth checking. I think you have to remove/add the dining plan at least 3 days prior to check in.

No that's just our sit down meals. I just added up quick service and with our sit down adrs. It's bout 850 without snacks.

I'd definitely drop the DDP then. You'll probably end up spending less and you won't be forced into getting a dessert with every meal. Plus I don't think you'll be there during peak season, so you might find your prices are even less.

Add a $50 or $65 fee (most likely $65 based on the timeline you've given) onto your dining costs. Factor in snacks too, cause you'll need drinks and fuel. By then, you're close to even.

Using TS credits on a lot of breakfasts makes the DDP less economical. Unfortunately that's the trap with character meals.

Well, I know if you book character meals and buffets and signature restaurants, then the DDP is truly worth it. But, for me it's not about the $, it's about the convenience of having a complete package!:D

I'd call to find out if there's a penalty, but if it were me- I'd cancel if there's no major fee. Ultimately, it all boils down to your dining style and it seems like your math has shown that you come out well ahead without it. We've done the regular DDP twice and found that it doesn't save us any $ based on the way we like to dine. Thankfully it was free both times, otherwise I would have been sick over the tons of unused QS and snack credits.

The 675$ is only our sit down meals. My 4yr old eats like a bird so that's why I'm considering canceling it bc we usually share meals. I did the math last night and I added up everything but our snacks and it came out to about 850$
