Their have been several rumors behind the Soarin' building that this attraction could come in the future. But what theme would it be?? I hope something like a Canadian type Mountain with a water coaster flume instead of a brother bear type like of attraction in the works. EPCOT has really lacked thrill intense attractions since their park opened.

I'm up for ANY ride on that side of World Showcase. I have always wondered why they put the 2 WS rides right next door to each other, and both boat rides too. They need some more towards the back and over on the Canada side.

The flume ride was supposed to be themed to Brother Bear. I'd rather they spend the money helping add a few C or D-tickets rather than one large E-ticket. Then again, it all depends on which country has sponsors willing to pony up the money on the expansion. World Showcase could use some more family-friendly dark rides to liven it up. Maybe the German boat cruise (finally)?

Not to mention that Wonders of Life needs replacing or reviving, as does Journey into Imagination. And I'd actually build Mission Space a real pavilion to follow up its preshow attraction, which is what basically now exists.

There are many, many things I'd find to spend money on before installing a flume ride. There does need to be something to cloak that ridiculous Soarin' ride building, though.

I would be interested if anyone else has heard about the indended new films for Canada and Norway? As I understood, the Canadian and Norwegian governments had agreed in principle to fund new films for those attractions. I have the actual news articles somewhere. I haven't heard if there has been any movement on these projects...

I have heard of this idea. It would be good to help more people stop in World Showcase. Also, an Italian Gondola Ride wouldn't be bad either!

WS desperately needs a new ride. It doesn't have to be an E-ticket, though that would be nice. A raft ride in Canada (part dark ride as well - something not really done before), and one or two more rides of Malestrom's calliber.

It's been more than 15 years since a new ride has gone into WS - my fear is that means they don't have any plans to either. Just leave it the very pretty, fun, but really just a glorified mall/food court it is. It's a great place, it's just that it could be so much more.

The trouble with WS for me, as nice as it is, is that we always leave to last and then end up having hardly anytime left to look at it before finding a spot for food and IllumiNations. An E-Ticket attraction such as a raft ride (which I think would be a great idea, and would be a great contrast to Soarin', M:S and TT) would pull guests into WS earlier, and maybe that would be more profit for Disney because more people will then go shopping and such.D and C ticket attractions aren't going to pull in the crowds away from the FurtureWorld pavilions.

If the original plans for WS had come to fruition things would have been rather different... recently discussed here, and I wrote an article on this for D-Troops

I always thought this rumor was one of the least likely rumors. I am not sure if there is even enough room to build such an attraction in the area discribed. I think that the idea was just thrown around and there was never really any weight put behind it.

Screamscape.com said 2008-2009 in the works but I hope it'll come earlier than that. Something like a flume or raft ride would work 100%. Why not have a flume ride like Jurassic Park River Adventure or A Journey to Atlantis type of ride??
