Do they allow it or does it depend on the CM? I don't care about getting the movie as much as I do TK & 9 Eye

Technically its not allowed. But honestly, the philosophy I have on this whole "no video taping, pictues stuff" is that if they go after you, you dont have to give them jack. Mainly because I believe that since they went after you, they should go after every other person that does the same thing.

And, Im not joking on this, I did that one time. I stood at an attraction for almost 30 mins one time and pointed out every person that came out with a camera of any kind.

CM asked me to please leave and I refused, told him if I have to get rid of my pictures (Which I didnt get rid of BTW), then all the other cameras needed to be looked at.

Hell, I even got some damn nice pics inside PM (During the times when the "reach effects" weren't going on) during the previews....manager was sitting right behind me and they didnt say one word. So Im just guessing it varies with who is there at the time..

But still, Ive found what I go by very effective, you tell me to get rid of my pictures/video recordings, then you should get make everyone else get rid of their pictures/video recordings

Besides that if it's legal or not, it's just to damn hard to tape the show! It's in the round, plus the AA Timekeeper, so things are really hard to tape. Hardest to tape is the underwater sceen and when 9 Eye is going back in time. There's a lot going on!

Well all they want is to tape NE and the TK as the AAs.....

Even then, a good majority of the film takes place on the first three screens behind TK so its still able to be done, even if it is a little trouble/

If they don't sell it, then bootleg it, it seems to be the only way to get something that you really care about. Especially for the Timekeeper since the place isn't open all the time. If you have to ruin someone's vacation (by lights or getting in the way), then that I wouldn't do.

well yeah... after Dreamworks started putting out movies extremely similar to what Disney was working on in FL, they had to get strict.

Mkt I am a CM but that is irrevilent to this topic as well as it being private property, if thats the case, what that comes to me as, is that no pictures of any kind are allowed to be taken by guests at all.

Im clearly stating that if one person should have to discard their photos/slash video, then every other person who walks out of every attraction should have to discard their pictures.

Obviously, they'll never be able to take care if it all. Even if they did try their best to stop it.

Hell, at this point in age "No photographs or video taping please" ends up going in one ear and out the other with a good majority of the people out there.

It was usual on CoP that we hear "no flash photos." Well, on one trip last year (seasonal), there WAS no Cast Member giving the spiel (spotlight lit on nothing) and flash photos were taken constantly by more than one group (not good for my filming! )

Very true, HOWEVER... it all depends on what you do with said materials. If youre selling them and reproducing them, I think Mickey might get his britches outa place. But if its for family use, i can understand that as well.

Basically, what gets me is the way i get crap from CMs cuz of the constat ignoring of 'no flash photography'. I dont use a flash on attractions, rarely use a flash period and just really get my britches out of place when I have some snot nosed CP'er trying to tell me how, when and where i can take photos. Really just annoys the hell outa me....

what I'm saying is, as a CM, you are supposed to uphold the rules set in place by Disney. And you are told there is no videotaping/photography in certain places. As for the private property statement, Disney does have the right to tell you "No you can't videotape or take pictures" in a certain area, and you are at the very least expected to follow those rules. By breaking them, you can face any number of penalties, not excluding termination (you don't think it'll happen to you... it will.).

As a CM yeah, I SHOULD be upholding them. BUT. Im not working right now, Im currently "Inactive" so those rules that are placed on my as a CM are about as good as a two year old PP&J right now.

Disney does have the right, yes, BUT seriously, send me a group of people that do listen to it and Ill pay for a week at Disney for you. True there are people out there that do say "Ok' then put their equipment away but at the same time, there are those who put them away then pull them out when they are away from CMs.

Now yeah, there are those attractions that I dont take photos on, either because I dont want to, or its not worth the time or its just too hard to get a shot on (Like THM). No flash? ok, flash off and click away.

REGUARDLESS of this private property stuff, reguardless or the signs, reguardless of what CMs say, there will ALWAYS, without the shadow of a doubt, be people who will still take pictures, Disney can inforce the whole "no photos" but they'll never abolish it, only way to do that is to check all parcels, take the cameras then hand them back to the person after they leave the attraction.

But, there are just TWO rules I follow every time when it comes to photos, No flash and No pictures backstage....regaurdless if Im active or Inactive, that no pics backstage, it is one of the Disney Commandments that I follow, and Ill never do it, I might have my camera out looking at pics that Ive taken else where but youll never see a pic from backstage....well minus the areas that guests can go to (I.E Backlot Tour)

I use either my AP (My grandfather refuses to stop renewing ours, despite the fact that Ive got my ID now), or my ID, which ever one I pull out.

But what does that have to do with pics?

by going in on your cast ID (ie- for free) you are considered a CM and not a guest... so rather than the normal penalties a guest would get (slap on the wrist... jk.. they get yelled at, and at worst, will have their film pulled), but my doing it as a CM, you expose yourself to termination.

Fraid your wrong. You walk in that gate with whatever ID you have, your still a guest, doesnt matter.

Either way, Ill continue to do what I do. Dont like it? TOO BAD.

And yeah, I do mean that in every possible ed off way imaginable because right now, I am ed off, not at this stupid ordeal, just at a few other things right now.

cool... I'll be sure to pull out an annoying and distracting camera next time you work... and when I'm told to put it away, I'll point at you and say, "but he didn't"
