Hi !

I booked a package (August 9th to August 17th) with 6 days WDW tickets. If on-site, my plans change, and I want to add an additional day (pending park availability), is it possible at the discounted fee ?

On the other end, can you also remove a day ? Let's say I want to modify to 5 days instead of 6. Is this possible.

Thanks,

Yes, you SHOULD be able to add a day.
You can NOT remove a day.

There are restrictions though. You can NOT modify a ticket that is completely out of days.

The best time to modify is just after you use the ticket the first day. You would especially want to do this early because you need a park reservation for the extra day.

For that reason, it might be better to do it before you arrive if you bought the tickets directly from WDW. (If you bought from a place like Undercover Tourist, then make sure you know the correct price for the upgrade you want.) Actually, no matter what, make sure you know what the correct price should be.

You will need to do this at Guest Services. One of the best locations is MK if possible. DS can be a bit slow.

What do you mean by 'discounted' fee? If you bought them directly via WDW, then the price was probably not discounted. When WDW does vacation packages, usually it is the hotel portion that is discounted. (or previously the dining was sometimes discounted.)

These days, WDW tickets are date based. So check the price of a 6-day August 9 ticket vs. a 7-day Aug 9 ticket. That should be the price you pay for the upgrade.

If a CM gives you a wildly different price, consider holding off and asking a different CM at a different Gest Services.

So I bought my tickets through a third party right before the price hike and saved a decent amount of money. I debated adding park hopper or another day but didn't because if you do you will pay whatever the CURRENT price is for that. Meaning if I bought tickets for 7 park days and it was say $800 a ticket at the time, and an 8 day ticket was $825, but now a 7 day park ticket was $825 and an 8 day ticket is $850, you will have to pay the difference to $850 not $825, do you will not pay the discounted price if you try changing at the park.

That should not automatically have been the case, but it depends when the tickets were minted by the 3rd party.

I just posted to another thread roughly the same idea, but the price CM's quote are often all over the place. Talk to 3 different CM's and you will often get 3 different answers.

In the past, they used to 'bridge' the price difference. So using your example above the price should have only been $850-$825, or $25. - when WDW bridged. Now they no longer bridge back to 2019 prices (or older).

Keeping in mind WDW tickets have 6.5% tax. WDW webpage often quotes pre-tax prices.

I was just basing it on if I tried to upgrade the tickets as they are in the WDW app(it gives you a thatoption after you have linked them). It was quite an increase. Maybe you can have more luck on-site but I can't see why it would be different.

Thanks everyone... that being said, I have the possibility to purchase a room only reservation using the disney plus up to 25% or make it a package by adding disney tickets via disneyworld.com.

August 9 to 16 at All Stars Music

Room Only = 1067$
Disney World Package (Room + 6 days base tickets) = 2190.48$

Room Only (1067$) + Third-Party Ticket Reseller (1079$) = 2146$

Going with Third-Party will save me 44$... Are there any risks of going that route ? Should I stick with creating a package or boom room only + third party for the tickets ?

Also, if I purchase via a third party reseller, can I upgrade to a park hopper while on-site if I decide to ?

No
To save 44$ or 2% its not worth it heck. Might as well buy gift cards from target and save 5% which im assuming the. 3rd party does not/cant accept for the ticket portion and youllsave more money that way

You can upgrade to a park hopper however if you decide to add the park hopper it must be for all days even if you have already used admission. There is no discount for already used days. If you decide you want the park hopper, you better do it the first day to get the most out of it.

I'm thinking boardwalk ticketing. With park hopper I would save 150$

That being said, they don't offer refunds but I think disney tickets never expire as long as they are not used ? They keep the original value correct?
