I have a question?? If and when Free Dining is offered which I believe it will be on Apr 10 after my extensive research today. Can you upgrade to the Deluxe Dining and pay the difference between what reg dining and deluxe woud be?? I just won a $1300 dollar travel voucher and I was wondering about surprising everyone I'm going with this upgrade!

Yeah, for $32 per day. It's probably not worth the money unless you're doing ONLY Signature Dining or don't care if you spend much time in the parks. Even then, you may be better suited using your free dining credits, and then spending money out of pocket for anything additional.

The $32 fee is also per person correct? Or is it a flat daily fee?

The basic dining plan is $37.99 per person per night.

The deluxe dining plan is $69.99 per person per night.

The difference is $32 per person per night.

we got the free dining for sept with the bounceback promotion and upgraded to the deluxe plan for a couple reasons. first it will cover any meal that i want to eat. period. and secondly it gives us the freedom to eat at hoop dee doo revue and the yachtsman steakhouse the night before we leave. too many people are narrowminded and think that you could never eat three meals a day and thats too much food and blah blah blah. when i go to disney we usually get up around 6 and dont stop till sometimes 12am. so yes sometimes i might eat three meals a day, but if i want i can eat two, with one really nice one.

I did the calculations based on how my friends and I would use the Deluxe Plan, which basically would be to skip using the breakfast meal credit every day (perhaps using a snack credit for a muffin or something), have a quick service lunch and use the breakfast credit to double-up and eat at a Signature Restaurant every night.

My calculations said that the added stuff we got in going to the Deluxe (appetizers on the sit-down meals, two snacks instead of one, the more expensive meals at the Signature places, the refillable mug) was almost exactly the amount paid to upgrade the plan. (I believe I also factored in the extra out-of-pocket money for tips on the more-expensive dinners) So, it was an even trade.

If you think that you'd be able to take full advantage of eating like that, you could think about doing it simply for the ease of not having to worry. The only way for it to be MORE of a value would be if you also ate Table Service at every lunch and minimized the number of Counter Service meals.
