I am taking my 2 kids (12 yo boy and 14 yo girl) to Disney World at the end of January. This will be our first trip, and there is so much info to take in!

We are on the DDP. This is what I have booked for the week. For breakfast (except BOG), we're just doing quick stuff in the room. Any lunch or dinners not listed will be QS.

Since this is our first visit, I plan to just stay within the parks to eat (except for T-rex) and probably won't park hop. At this point, there are no plans to go to HS.

I plan on paying out of pocket for Liberty Tree Tavern, Via Napoli, and T-rex. (It is a wash between Liberty Tree Tavern and Via Napoli verses Cinderella's Royal Table in cost).

We arrive Monday morning and leave Saturday evening.

Here is what I have planned:

Monday....
(Epcot) dinner at Garden Grill
Tues....
(MK) lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table
dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern
Wed....
(Epcot) dinner at Via Napoli
Thurs....
(MK) lunch at Crystal Palace
Fri...
(AK) lunch at Tusker House
Dinner at T Rex (after park close)
Sat...
(MK) PPO breakfast at Be Our Guest

Does this itinerary seem reasonable and doable? Any input, tips or suggestions would be appreciated!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the venues that you've chosen.

My point is one of value for money. You're on the DDP - to make the most out of it you should always choose the dearest options - and in every case Dinner is the dearest option. If you plan on buying meals then you should be buying your lunch, not your evening meal

Thanks for your responses!

When I made the reservation at CRT, it would have been $226 to pay out of pocket.

I figured Liberty Tree Tavern to be about $130 with tax and gratuity. At Via Napoli, we'd just split a pizza, so I figured that wouldn't be more than $80 (on the menu the largest pizza I saw was $45). And at T-rex, judging by what we would order on the menu, I figured that to be around $60 (we'd probably load up at the lunch buffet at Tusker House earlier in the day!)

The Garden Grill, Crystal Palace, and Tusker House I figured to be about $140 each.

That's why I picked LTT, Via Napoli, and T-rex to pay out of pocket. I figured LTT and Via Napoli to be about $210 and CRT was $226.

Does that sound right, or am I missing something (very likely since I'm new at this!)
