Can you get transport from the resorts to Down Town Disney??

Yes you can - just watch for the bus with the right label.

Disney Transport provides transportation from the Disney resorts to Downtown Disney. I believe the same bus may also stop at Typhoon Lagoon.

The buses can take you to pretty much any place on WDW property. Downtown Disney include.

Your question has already been answered but just FYI you can NOT take a bus to or from any of the 4 parks to DTD. To go from any of the 4 parks to DTD your best bet is to take a bus to PORS or POFQ and take the boat over. To go from DTD to a park take a bus to the resort nearest to the park you want to go to then transfer to the quickest mode of transport from that resort to that particular park. For example DTD to Epcot go to Boardwalk and walk over, DTD to MGM got to Boardwalk and walk or take boat, DTD to MK got to Contemporary, Poly or GF and take monorail, DTD to AK go to AKL and take bus to AK.
