Can you believe it?! I'm getting a Universal AP and have some questions

Hey everyone. As some of you know, I have been a Disney AP Holder for awhile now. I have often been critical of Universal (to be honest, I hated it). Anyway, I was doing searching on the internet, and came across the $15 a month AP deal, so Tifani and I will both be getting Universal AP's in May. Oh, let me mention, I'm still getting my Disney one too (I can't live without Disney). It will most likely be Disney one weekend/ Universal the next, but summer vacation is coming up so it may be trips to both resorts quite often (and alot more DISNEY ISTCrew Originals .. I'm not going that far as to do Universal Updates). It has been awhile since both of us have been there, and we still have yet to do Jimmy Neutron, Shrek, The Mummy, and a few other things. My question is :

I know Universal has a parking garage. Isn't that difficult for our parents to pick us up / drop us off in? Is there any other way to get dropped off, like a guest drop off area? Thanks for your help.:)

There is a guest drop-off area. This link will tell you how to get there. Hope this helps. :)

By the way, glad to hear you're getting an AP! If you've got any other questions about Universal Orlando APs, I can probably answer them. :D

Directly from the Universal Orlando website:

Guests can be dropped off and picked up at the Transportation Center located beneath the Rotunda of the Parking Structure. Just follow the signs to the Bus Parking and Guest Drop-Off Area upon entering Universal Orlando from any entrance.

You should do the 2nd year free deal which is only like $170 if you're not already. I think that's a great deal, $170 for two whole years.

But when your payinbg $280 for a Disney pass, 15$ a month for Universal fits just fine:lol:

Glad to see you're heading up I 4! Disney is great, but Universal offers stuff that Disney doesn't!

You will find out that Universal's AP gets you a lot more discounts than the Mouse hands out.

They are both great places to visit... I have a Universal and beer park AP, and wish I could afford a Mouse one!

Maybe we'll run into each other one day!

Must agree on that one....at Universal, you get a discount on almost anything, unlike at WDW.

By the way, you should hurry up and get that AP, so you can go to the Revenge of the Mummy AP Previews. I emailed Universal, and they said postcards for AP Previews will be sent out later this month.

If you've got any other questions, I suggest trying IOAHQ.com. Everyone at the forums are very helpful and friendly (and you'll also find the boards a LOT more nicer than at other Universal websites! :D )

If the 2-year deal is $170, isn't that better than $15/month? $15 x 12 = $180, right? Unless they sell them for like three month blocks or something, I would think the $170/2 years would be the way to go! Especially since 3 day passes are like $100.

Just my opinion...that and 50 cents will buy you a coca-cola, in some machines.

eh.. there isn't enough regularly going on at Universal to warrant that...

I'll start

ISTCrew20 Universal Original: (May 1, 2004 - May 1, 2054)

1. Sylvester McMonkey's Unusual Driving Machines was not open to guests today. To make up for this, Universal has added cars to the track with stationary Suess figures.

That's all for today folks, see you in 50 years :lookaroun

HAHA...Yea, I think I'm gonna let someone else take care of Universal Updates. One reason being that I don't plan on going there as much as I will be going to Disney, and another being, I don't know those parks as well as I know Disney parks, so I can't really decide what's new or old, broke or fixed,ya know.

By the way, we will be at the Universal ticket window next Saturday morning, buying our passes.

I'm leaving in 15 minutes to go get my pass. I heard Mummy tr's are weekdays this next week, which means no Mummy today, but oh well. I'll post how the day was...
