This is my suggestion. Build a simple excel spreadsheet and look at each menu and pick what you would order if you were in the restaurant right now. (It's a fun way to get into the Disney mood.) Include appetizers, drink and dessert; only if you would typically want those items. Take into account that maybe you would share a dessert and not each order one. Add Tax/Tip. You can average out the QS and snacks (or plan how you would use them). This will tell you whether or not the DP is a good value for you. Then if you really want to be crazy - you can do the same thing with what the DP forces you into. Our experience was that we would rather share an appetizer or split a dessert or main dish. I have a hard time wasting food, so we aren't skimping but we are being real with ourselves about what we really want. (Besides there are tons for yummy snacks to fill up on later.) If when you roll all of this up, it doesn't add up to the DP cost, you aren't maximizing the value. At that point, you can look to add additional restaurants or potentially drop the plan. Ultimately we found paying OOP was a better value......
