Hello,

I'm new to this site and I had some questions about wdw.

I'm going to visit wdw on april 09, 2004 and I'm leaving from N.Y {driving} and I'm also leaving with like 15 family members.

I want to know is going with alot of family members a smart choice?

Has anyone every stayed at the sierra suites on universal blvd. and if so how was your stay?

Also how are the parks we have a total of 6 children from ages 3 to 16 what parks are good for them?

How's the weather in april?

Does anyone know where I can get great deals on tickets?

How long are you going for? Your best bet will probably be to go to the local Disney Store and buy your passes. Are you planning on visiting only WDW or any of the "other" theme parks?

We are going in June with 12, 6 children 3-13. If park hours are shortened I would highly recommend getting to the parks early a few days.

Will this be a first time visit for anyone? My kids love watching "SingAlong, Disneyland" you can buy the video at WalMart for about $9. Gives them an idea of what they will be expecting.

Get the autograph books, fat pens and take lots of photos. THis trip we are allowing some "down time" with each family going there seperate way

Hello TILLMAN1 ...and WELCOME!!!

I've driven down from NY many times during college. It's a long drive (22 hours from my place) but it was the cheapest way to go! The only problem is losing a couple days at the beginning and end for travel days - either from driving straight through and being too tired, or from staying over night midway through the trip!!

Cherish your family! The more time you have to spend with them the better. Certainly, a family vacation will produce many fond memories! However, this does not mean that you all need to spend every waking moment together, roaming the park in a big group! Be sure to schedule some meals together and some park activities to meet at, but I recommend breaking your group down to smaller groups of people with similar interests (teens, adults w/kids, etc.). You'll get to see a lot more of what your group wants to see!

You'll be there at the heart of Spring Break/Easter Vacation so the parks will be packed!!!...But they will be open later too!

The weather begins warming up pretty good in April, so you should see sunny days and temps in the low 70's - perfect for the pools and waterparks!

I've never stayed at the Sierra, but be sure to check their website or call them for details. Ask about their shuttle so you don't have to drive!

You can buy Park Hoppers in advance for a small savings at yourlocal Disney Store before you go! This will save some money and LOTS of time in line at WDW!

HAVE FUN!
