Can someone explain the difference between Countdown To Extinction and Dinosaur?

There is no difference. When Dinosaur (the movie) came out Disney decided to cross promote and rename the attraction Dinosaur. Although they may have tamed the ride down a bit, I'm not sure about that.

I saw this over on those forums a little while ago...that is a fantastic recreation!

I think the ride effect is quite different because of the lighting changes.

BTW, that recreation is astounding. That must have taken many days. Bravo!

I never really noticed a change while riding DINOSAUR. It's still pretty much the same. If they did tone it down, I can hardly notice it and now kids can go on it also!

I remember riding CTE within 3 days of Animal Kingdom's opening; it might have been because I was a child but I felt it was more intense than Dinosaur is.
