Can room fridges freeze bottles of water?

We are making plans to take a Summer trip to WDW. We will be limited to Summers, Thanksgiving, XMas, and Spring Break moving forward unfortunately. This will be the first attempt at this and get even more use out of our APs. I know all about the heat, humidity, and crowds. We go enough that we enjoy the less heavily populated attractions: street shows at HS, Piano Bob at POR, pin trading, etc. We know to hit the parks early, hit the must-do rides, afternoons at the resort pool or other indoor attractions, and back to the parks at night.

With the heat, freezing water bottles in the room over night helps tremendously with the heat. My question is whether the fridges in rooms are enough to freeze bottles over night? I know DVC resorts can do this. I am just not sure about the fridges in the non-DVC rooms.

There is not a separate freezer compartment in the fridges in non-DVC rooms. That said, you may be able to turn the temperature down low enough so that water will freeze. I know the fridges that used to be in the rooms (before the big overhaul) got cold enough to freeze water bottles as ours would freeze when we didn't want them to! But we have not tried to freeze bottles with the new models.

We weren't looking to freeze our soft drinks and waters in January, but the refrigerators in our PORS room did freeze them. The drinks nearest the blower were frozen.

They say that the current refrigerators are just "coolers" meant to keep the contents cold (and as others have said) don't have a freezer section like the old ones. However, if you can control the temperature enough, it sounds like you might be able to get your water bottles to freeze. Good idea, good question! I hope it works!
Have a Wonderful time!

At the Yacht Club, I put three bottles on the top row of the mini fridge and they were just about frozen. I looked for a way to turn down the temp but couldn't find it.

At All star sports the last person to use the fridge had it set to the lowest temp. ( I didn't realize) and it froze my water bottle. I don't know if all the fridges are like this but that night it was on lowest temp. it was really noisy and kept me up for a while!

Yes, the fridges will freeze a water bottle. They've frozen my milk, carrots, watermelon, eggs, etc. Just set on the lowest temperature.
