Can I upgade?

Does any one know if you can upgade the UPH's in the new FP package to AP's once you get to the park? I am working out the budget and would like one of us to have one for the food discounts and water craft discounts, gold discounts etc. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

You cannot upgrade previously purchased park tickets, however, they never expire, so you can purchase an annual pass, and then use up your ultimate hoppers when your annual passes are up expire.

You cannot pre se upgrade the UPH but you can turn them in for credit. I went to WDW in 91. I had a couple passes that had a couple of days left. I 'turned' them in when I was at the parks in 2002 and got credit towards the PH+ that I purchased for that trip.

As far as I know, the policy of being able to turn in and use the credit for another ticket purchase is still valid.

You cannot upgrade Ultimate park hoppers. They are only available with the WDW packages. If you purchase park hopper or park hopper plus tickets, you can upgrade them and be charged the difference. Ultimate PH are only good with a package from the time you check in , through the last day of your stay, they do expire after that.
