Can I still get the dining plan?

I have a question for anyone/everyone out there.

My wife and I recently booked a vacation for September. We are hoping that free dining will be offered again - if so, we will call back and have it added. If it is not offered, we were thinking of doing a room only reservation and then adding theme park hopper tickets to it. My question is if we do a room only reservation and add tickets - can we add on the dining plan as well?

You sure can. I was actually booked room & tickets and then added free dining last Sept when it came out. You have to have room & at least one park ticket to get it I believe.

To get the dining plan, you have to purchase a package of room and tickets together. You cannot book a room only reservation then purchase tickets separately and still get the DDP.

It sounds like what you're suggesting is really a package, I just wanted to distinguish between the two.

Yep, lilclerk is exactly right. You can't "add" tickets and the DDP to a room only reservation. You must purchase a package. It sounds nitpicky, but there are very different cancellation and payment rules for packages vs. room only reservations. If the OP books room only now and wants to take advantage of free dining should it be released, he would need to cancel his room only reservation and rebook as a package. If he already has a package, it can be modified to incude free dining. (as long as his dates and resort choice are available) Hope this helps. :wave:
