Can I Sneak a Guest Not on Reservation into my Disney Hotel?

I'm not sure how much has changed in the last few years, but back at the time of the OPs writing, she would have been able to add her DHs name to the reservation at any time, just by going to the front desk, since it was a RO reservation. No sneaking required. That would have allowed him the use of DME, if needed, as well as a room key. And he could have had full use of the hotel's pool (s). This (adding someone to the reservation, up to the allowable limit) was still possible on our last visit. Has this changed?

I'm taking an eight day vacation to WDW and will be sharing a room with another adult... My husband wants to come out for two nights/one day and I'm wondering if I can sneak him into my room? Has anyone done this before without any problems? Does anyone know what would happen if we got caught sneaking him in? It'd be 3 of us in a 4 occupancy room. It's a room only reservation, no packages, and tickets, room key, meals, Magical Express, etc. are not an issue. We are only trying to find a place for him to lay his head at night. I was willing to pay extra for the two nights he'd be there, but my travel agent said he'd have to be on the reservation for the whole trip which would be a waste of $75.
Wondering maybe I missed something. How is he going to get into the resort? If he drives he goes thru security at gate they won't have reservation for him

lol. So sorry. Storm Along Bay. Auto correct and voice text.
Voice to text and autocorrect combined are my ultimate nemesis(ses?). I once sent my husband a message about an "escort" when I was trying to tell him I and our daughter were coming back from the grocery. 🤣

I'm not THAT Southern, but if I'm tired or angry (especially if I"m tired AND angry) my drawl comes out. At that point, it is game over and I'm better off just making a phone call.:banghead:
