Can I have an animated avatar image?

:wave: Hey. While trying to upload this avatar image, it did not let me. It said that you are not alloud to post animated avatars. But I have seen many other people that have animated avatars. My avatar is great, just view it here.

There is a maximum file size for avatars. You can see the size in your control panel at the bottom of the avatar page. The one you linked to is way over the limit. :wave:

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 160 by 110 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

You've got some compression to do :wave:

good avatar... now either

A- reduce the number of colours
B- reduce the image dimension
C- reduce the number of frames
or
D- make a whole new one within the avatar parameters.

The bottom line is that an Avatar has to be 160 by 110 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller). The one you designed was 132kb - far too large.

you are allowed to have an animated avatar... unfortunately yours exceeded the maximum filesize by quite a bit.

Maximum Size of Custom Image 160 x 120 pixels... and maximum 39 kb... whatever comes first

No guess not...

I just converted that avatar with the same colors and size to 37,1Kb

But I can't upload it in my photo album...
The VB photo album starts blabbering about "This is a TOPLEVEL Category picture you're trying to upload"
Try another category...

DARN... What the Heck does THAT mean...

Fixed the problem I mentioned before... it was just My own "Dumbo" way of thinking... IMO there has never been a specific category to upload you pictures to... It was pointing to a WDWrumors... and that's not possible... well that makes sense...

Must be a premium member perk, we freeloaders in steerage have the lower limit of 160 by 110 pixels or 19.5kb - that's what it says on the upload page.

He should be OK now, there was a restriction, that I have lifted for now.
