Can I get food that is no longer on menu?

Thank you all for your responses. I’m not a newbie to the world. I’ve been going there every year for 30 plus years. I know to just order off the menu, but it never hurts to ask a question. I constantly look at the menus, I always follow a dress code. I’ve read posts on here asking if items like Mac and cheese could be ordered even though it was off the menu and the answer was a unanimous yes, without the negative comments. I appreciate the negative as well because it shows me the real world opinion. It was a student question on my part and I’m sorry I stroked a fire.

don't be sorry. I've seen posts asking which pair of shoes is best for parks become larger dumpster fires. People just like to feel better than other people, I guess.

One, it wasn’t a stupid question at all. The chance is that they do not have a protein like bison left over once they remove it from the menu but it’s worth asking because you never do know. Second, like Dave said, some restaurants have a secret menu where you have to ask for an item which is not listed on the main menu. Third, there is no need to apologize at all. Some people have internet courage and act like morons when they can provide a simple answer.

Ive learned, especially at Disney, it never hurts to ask your server. if you decide to keep the ADR and dine there, they just may be able to do something for you. The worst that can happen is if you ask you would be told no its no longer available. Ive had times when DW has asked for something and they were able to come through for her.

I've been to many restaurants that let you eat off menu. Some were family favorites that discontinued dishes but kept making them for us for decades. Some, like Starbucks or In and Out, publicize "secret menus". Some have chefs that like to experiment and have fun when you order "surprise me with some type of fish". There's really no telling if Disney is like this unless you ask.

If it makes you upset that the OP asked the question, you might need to step away from the boards.
I asked them to 'Surprise me with some type of fish', so they cooked Nemo

I booked Jiko specifically for my husband because he loves Bison. I see that it is no longer on the menu. Does anyone know if he can order it even though it’s not on the menu? Thanks in advance!
I doubt any restaurant manager is going to buy in food on the off chance that somebody will order it.

Nah, it’s called common sense. Please talk about keyboard warriors bc that’s funny coming from you. Please include a meme and maybe some grammar report.

Well I was going to include a meme per your request but I found this instead which really does explain why you replied to me so long after I originally posted my comment:

As for the grammar report (not sure what that is exactly lol) I will say you spelled everything correctly and you were able to compose a complete sentence. We are all proud of you!!

Why is it always certain posters from the political threat throwing their internet fists around? Therapy might be in order.

I was away on vacation for two weeks and my first post back was to him. He really did make my day with his insightful internet bravado.

And yes, I agree wholeheartedly with your political forum people thought lol.

Knowing Disney and how they change menus from time to time, you probably should of looked at the menu before booking to be honest.

Okay...so this is good advice but the huge problem with it is that Disney does not do a good job of keeping their online menus up-to-date. There have been plenty of times when my DW @Andrea221 and I decided on a Signature for that night based on the online menus...and then were very disappointed when the server explained something like, "oh...that hasn't been on the menu in a couple of months." Just happened two weeks ago at Yachtsman regarding a salmon entree.
