Can I choose which discount to go with?

My family of 4 is booked for Pop Century 8/14-24 under the pay for 7 get 3 free plan. Now mousavers is saying free dining is expected 8/16. If this happens, can I just tell them I'd rather have the free dining start on 8/16 and pay for all 10 nights or would I have to cancel my ressie and re-book?

Free dining is out today for Disney Visa cardholders. You can certainly compare discounts to see which works out. As long as there is availability, you should be able to modify your reservation. Free dining would require two reservations, one from 8-14 to 8-16 and one from 8-16 to 8-24.

any chance it would get extended through the end of October?

Depends on occupancy rates, but I would doubt it. It is already longer than it normally is.

As for the OP's question. You would have to rebook the entire reservation because rooms are set aside for each promotion. Also, like previously stated, you would be able to start free dining on 8/16, but not before. If you still wanted to go on the 14th you would need a separate reservation for 8/14 and 8/15.

Similar follow-up question. I am currently booked in September with free dining from a pin code that I received. For some reason I keep receiving pins for other discounts as well. If free dining becomes available to the public, would I be able to switch my reservation (or make a new one entirely) over to a different pin discount, and also get the free dining?

No...you cannot double discount. You would have to check the prices on a pin and also free dining to determine which is better for you. Disney only allows one promotion per reservation.

Thanks so much, I figured that was the case.

It's all very confusing, because I figured that 40% off would be a far bigger savings than free dining, but it worked out the other way.
