Universal's record to 1 billion is June 14th. Disney as of Sunday April 1st should be at 870 million. Infinity War and Solo combined will bring in what is needed to break 2 billion along with what is left from BP and WiT. The only question is can they do it before June 14th? I think they will.

Well Disney is obviously going to beat its own record for first to a billion, as Infinity War's opening weekend will be able to get it there. I don't think IW + Solo will be able to get enough, 600 million is optimistic for IW, and 500 million is optimistic for Solo, which is about what they will need. It really depends on ho much more money Black Panther can make, A Wrinkle in Time won't be able to make much more.

Infinity war will pass Black Panther. It should pass Avatar and end in second place on the all time North American list and maybe pass 800 million.

It's a shame WIT is such a dud at the box office but since the movie was so poorly made and left so much out, no one should be surprised. In fact the story is so long it needs to be redone as a miniseries. More time would give it justice as long as they put back in the religious overtones.

That's a bold prediction! There's basically no chance that it beats Avatar, and beating Black Panther is also incredibly unlikely. Worldwide it will almost certainly beat Black Panther, but we are talking domestic.

I’m not sure about Avatar, but it’s going to beat Black Panther. The only question is about how much. With what BP did and combine that with the hype and the fact that many of the stars that were in BP will be in IW. It should do extremely well.
Not to mention that people are excited to go back to Wakanda.

It's possible, but definitely not certain. Black Panther was a phenomenon, and is the highest grossing super hero movie of all time.

BP is only the highest domestically. It’s still lower than AOU and The Avengers world wide. You have a fair point because nothing is certain, but IW surely does have symptoms of domination.

Right. Worldwide IW will almost definitely beat BP, I don't think it will domestically though. Black Panther was insane!
