Can Disney do it?

And isn't the Harry Potter franchise sort of gone the way of American Idol? I coach junior high kids. 10 years ago Potter was in. Today, they could really care less. They are really more into Star Wars. I really like the Universal Parks but think it was really a mistake to go into a non-classic franchise. Where do the OP get the #'s for movie sales & book numbers? Whats next, the Avator Adventure??

Interesting observations including your point about Star Wars @ "classic" versus Potter.

Seems to me IF Disney had given Rowling the control & $$$$ she wanted for Potter & they built it @ WDW would that have been a smart long term investment by Disney:veryconfu Duckberg :D

Walt Disney World is on another level than Universal. It's kind of annoying listening to the posters who have no idea what their talking about. Most of the people who prefer Universal would probably be happy at say Six Flags. The reason people go to Disney World is because it provides expierences other theme parks cannot. Instead of just riding a roller coaster they provide a background or story which give their theme parks something magical. I LOVE Harry Potter but I would never want it anywhere in the Disney theme parks. And like one of the other posters said, you cannot possibly compare Star Wars and Harry Potter. Star Wars is timeless. If you believe that about Harry Potter than maybe we'll see in a few years Universal's brand new land... TWILIGHT:wave:
