My ears are burning..:devilish:...I love all kinds of food..Meat...Fish...Vegan...Yes Vegetarian also..I once went out to a Vegan restaurant in Glasgow with a couple of die hard vegans..I had this soya carrot soup starter, then a had a vegetarian stew of leeks, carrots, onions, more carrots, potato, more carrots, and for sweet I had a slice of carrot cake...Later on that night at a trendy bar whilst having a few drinks ( As you do after a vegan meal ) I noticed this tall blonde dancing on the floor, and I remarked to Mrs Hatter, what a lovely pair of earrings she was wearing.Mrs hatter was astounded as she could just barely make out the girl dancing, never mind her earrings.."How can you see them from here" she asked..I said " Must be all those carrots I've ate that has made my eyesight stronger."o_O...." Don't be silly". she replied..So I said.." Well they say carrots are good for your eyesight, when's the last time you saw a Rabbit wearing glasses."...

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Well, to each his own and bless you, but for myself and DH, we didn't claw our way up to the tip-top of the food chain to eat carrots !! Please pass the horseradish!!
Oh my gosh, if I had the nerve, I would make this my Facebook status. Everyday.
Maybe to mix it up though, I would switch from horseradish to gravy once in a while.

Could I finish one - yep

Would I - nope

I have never had had one, but I do like roast pork. While I still have the ability of my youth - to eat huge amounts of food, I no longer am in posession of the ability to not convert it instantly into body fat.

So, while I would love to sit down a polish off an entire shank, I have a feeling that when I do try one (June I think) I will not be consuming the entire thing.

I will be splitting one, three ways, next week.
I think I will be more than satisfied. The smell of them last November made me positively swoon. And that was before my Gaston encounter.

Hey - everybody complains that the excess flatulence (pardon me for bringing it up) from our domesticating herd animals is contributing to the global warming and the greenhouse effect. I turned 50 this year and have started with the hot flashes, so I decided to DO SOMETHING about the global warming...so I am EATING those darned FARTING cows, pigs, lambs and chickens !!! Go Bar-B-Que!!!

I am TOTALLY going to town on one of these when we arrive in two days! Will try to remember to report after we arrive back home but to be honest any cut of pork or lamb stands little chance against me!!!

I only wish you could get it with a side of applesauce.

OK...so just back last night and wanted to remember a follow up. Tried it...liked it...FINISHED IT!

You would definitely have to be a pork fan to finish this but it was in fact quite excellent. Seasoned ever so slightly and obviously cooked nice and slow the proper way. It was moist throughout and not sinewy or fatty. I would definitely to this over the turkey leg any day!
