Can a non-resort guest eat lunch with us?

Thanks to you guys, I know that someone can come visit us at our resort, even if they are not staying there or have park passes.

But I can't find if someone can eat at a Quick Service restaurant with us.

My mother will be visiting us while we are there, and we want to have lunch at our resort, but don't want to find out later that we can't do that.

Any help?

You guys rock

Thanks Tigsmom!!!! I think you have answered a few of my other questions!

This forum is the biggest help Iv'e had with planning this trip. Combined with my Unofficial Guide, and the WDW Today podcast, I think I'm ready!!

My parents live in Winter Haven, but every day that we head to the parks, we start off with a chocolate croissant at the bakery on the Boardwalk... so you most definitely can stop in for a bite to eat without being a hotel guest :)

We are staying at POFQ so we will most likely grab a quick bite at the Floatworks. Nothing special, but it's my 29th birthday, and mom lives in Daytona, so she wants to be able to see us. We already have a res. for dinner at MGM that night, since we are on the dining plan.

Sounds like a plan! Enjoy your meal, your trip and your birthday!

What if the family member meets you in one of the parks, can they hop on the bus to go to the resort and look around? We always meet my family in a park and go from there, but I would love to show them our resort.

we have had family members that live in Orlando meet us at our resort, then take the bus back and forth to the park with us. they don't check your room key when you are boarding, so pretty much anyone can ride although it's supposed to be for resort guests only.

The resorts are open for all to explore. You can shop, eat, hang out.

My inlaws , who live in Florida, drove to WDW to meet us, parked at the resort for the day (they needed to stop at the security shack first and tell them they were meeting us...just needed to give our name), had breakfast with us and then we hit Epcot for a few hours. We let the front desk know the day before, just in case, but they said "no problem".

There was a big debate about that recently, but I don't feel like doing the search. Paid admission to the parks entitles you to use WDW transportation, you do not have to be staying on site.
