Hi there!
Has anybody been to the campfire sing along? Is it worth going to or should we do something else that night?
Any comments are greatly appreciated!:animwink:

If you have young children,it's well worth it. It's very low-key - a great escape from the madness of the day, but still a magical way to end the day. If your kids are older however, I'd skip it and do more in the parks or something.

My kids loved it. Just remember to slather yourselves in bug repellant and bring a light blanket, some evening get a bit chilly. You can call the resort front desk and find out what movie is going to be shown. That should help you decide what night to go.

Are two 20 year olds going to feel really out of place? I've always thought about going to it, but I don't know that I'm interested if it's very tailored to little kids. And it is free, right?

My son is 13 and we still went to the campfire at least once when we're at Ft.Wilderness. It's designed for the 8 and under set, but parents can still enjoy the little ones eyes when Chip and Dale wander through the audience and sign autographs, pose for pictures, and give them attention. It's a pleasant enjoyable time. If you want to know the movie on that night check disneycampers.com the month of your visit or call the Ft. Wilderness front desk if you're at WDW.

You won't feel out of place. Lots of adult campers without children will attend this event every evening. I personally come often if its a movie I haven't seen in a while.

The sing-a-long and Chip and Dale is tailored to the smaller set, but roasting marshmellows or making fresh smores and seeing a classic Disney movie is for the kid in all of us!

As for the snacks (marshmellows, chocolate bars, graham crackers, roasting sticks, etc) you can bring your own or purchase them pretty cheap right at the chuckwagon behind the bleachers.

Ok, first I admit I am not normal. I went to the campfire sing-a-longs when I was a kid, I went when I was a reservationist for Disney, and I now take my three daughters. My wife and I went together during our honeymoon. Its a fun atmosphere with something for everyone. Sing-a-long for the kids primarily, marshmallow roasting for me and the teenagers, cartoons, and a couple of Disney features. Bring a blanket to spread out in front of the screen before the first row of benches and enjoy!!!
